    Customer Service Really is Dead

Reminds of when I bought a new motorcycle back in '81. I found a piece of piston skirt when I changed the oil. Okay dealer took it in a fixed it. NOT. I swear the timing was 180⁰ off. It was only half power. The Service Manager swore it was right and so the argument began. It ended when I told...

    Customer Service Really is Dead

So today I pulled one of the wheels off the Yukon to see where the slow pesky leak is. I was concerned it might be the rim again and wanted to know since it would depend on who I took it to. The tire shop, or the guy that repaired the rim. It's a 20" Aluminum Centerline and it had a small leak a...

Can't Find Leak, Only Smell It!

It's the lighter colored one on the right in this picture. I'm on a budget right now, I just replaced the Drag Link on my Ram. I'll replace the leaker now and plan on the others when I can balance things out. The Rotors need replacing next. Darned hill country.

Can't Find Leak, Only Smell It!

I just found it! Apparently if you let it go long enough it starts to drip! The inboard quik connector for the heater core. I think it would drip and disappear on the exhaust manifold. So can anyone tell me if the two are different or the same part number?

Can't Find Leak, Only Smell It!

We can smell hot coolant on the '05 Yukon when we get out but I'll be darned if I can find any evidence of a leak. The overflow bottle doesn't even appear to drop in level. Can't smell it inside so that kinda rules out the heater core I guess. Kinda like going to the Dr and then it doesn't hurt...

Window regulator brands that aren’t junk

FWIW, My 2005 Yukon's Right Rear went 1st too. About 4 years ago. I replaced it with a Dorman and it's still working fine. They at least have lifetime warranties and for the cost I can't complain on something that's easy to replace.

    That's it - F this turd-burban.

You said you did some heavy brake checks so that's what I thought you meant. Usually uneven wear on one side of the caliper means it's not retracting properly. Guide pins sticking and dirty, or the same with the pistons. Sometimes you need to replace the calipers. Sometimes it's a bad rubber...

    That's it - F this turd-burban.

"Heavy brake checks" will make them hotternhell. Not to question your abilities but did you properly bed them in before standing on them? Did you check for drag while the wheels were off the ground before driving?

    Wiper Fluid Gone Bad?

You might want to check that reservoir then. Some of the fluid blends will gel.

    Wiper Fluid Gone Bad?

I raised 4 boys. I learned they all do that! You expose it, you better cover it or be ready to wear it!

    Fuel pump

Obviously, the worst that can happen is you'll be replacing it again.

    Wiper Fluid Gone Bad?

I had a friend in HS that had an old Rambler. It had a foot pump pedal for the washer fluid. He routed the hose to his carburetor and filled the reservoir with diesel fuel. He could create a smoke screen like James Bond then whenever he wanted!

After sitting my 04 Yukon starts and dies right away

My guess is the fuel pressure bleeds off and when it starts it doesn't build up to keep it running. Easy to check at the fuel rail with a gauge.

    12v outlets always on

Probably not "easy". Guess it would depend on your skill level. You'd have to remove the dash bezel(s) and moved the hot lead to a non energized source that only comes on with the key.

    Grinding noise

It also sounds like you want a simple, magical answer from a forum. Pretty hard to pinpoint really. There's been lots of good suggestions from lots of very nice, and experienced members here. Maybe it's time to get your hands dirty. Or take it to someone that's willing to help and not hoping to...

    Wiper Fluid Gone Bad?

Yeah don't drink that! It's funny when I sometimes add alcohol to mine it is very noticeable even inside. What happened to yours exactly? Did it gel? Or create black jellyfish like mine?

It's actually methanol the mfgrs use, but if you use or modify your own rubbing alcohol is fine.

    Wiper Fluid Gone Bad?

Alcohol is used to keep it from freezing in the winter. Using alchohol in the summer it dries super fast and doesn't clean well and ruins the wiper blades faster.

I'm sure I didn't buy it in '21. That stuff moves pretty fast off the shelves from what I see too.

    Wiper Fluid Gone Bad?

Well I really can't complain about their Customer Service. The rep asked what vehicle make, model, and year I used the wiper fluid in so I told him. Then was wondering aloud to my wife "What does THAT matter?" Heh, heh, the rep said he was sending me a set of wipers for it too.

Hey, just an update guys. Old World Industries LLC the company behind PEAK is sending me a Call Tag for the remainder and the jug so they can check it out. I'll update when they tell me what they found.

Or just create something in a lab and "accidentally" release it creating a pandemic. Call it something like umm....oh I know, Covid!
