Looks exactly like the plug for my V1 detector. Guessing the previous owner had a hard wire plug in for his detector.
Mine is set up almost exactly the same.
I had the same issue on my 08 Tahoe 2WD. The rearend was shot at 60K miles. Was covered under the 5 year 100K power train warranty so didn't cost me anything.
If you hear the noise when you step on the gas that's likely what it is.
There is no separate "max trailering" package / RPO for the Denali. Everything is standard. Only difference is Denali's get a 3.23 rear end. The rear end on a max trailering equipped 5.3 Yukon is a 3.42
I had a similar leak. And then the oil pressure gauge crapped out and threw a code. Had to replace the oil pressure sensor and also the oil lines. Ran me about $800 for everything.
The Michelins aren't cheap but they will last forever. The LTX MS2 has been discontinued and was replaced by the Defender LTX MS. I put a set on the Denali last week but it was by default. The LTX MS2 had a warranty issue and I didn't want a mismatched set.
For the money, the Bridgestone...
For $2500 in savings I would book that one way ticket to STL. Even with a flight, one night in a hotel and gas my guess is your total expenses would be $600 or so. That leftover $2K in your pocket buys a lot of stuff.
There is also an issue involving the oil pressure sender/sensor and filter. If your 6.2 has AFM the filter sometimes clogs and the sensor will fail. Symptoms of this are a guage that reads either 0 or 80 but not in between, and the CEL will be on with a code 521 or 523.
Fix requires the...
As has been discussed here, GM will cover it but the dealer has to do their legwork. First time replacements are $100 "deductible".
I had my 2010 with 130K Miles (well out of warranty) done in December.
If your dealer isn't helpful, find another one. Any GM (GMC, Cadillac or Chevy) can do...
My dealer told me its an ongoing issue...GM is aware of it...and if its the first time its been replaced in the vehicle its a $100 "Deductible". Several others have gotten the same result from their dealer so I'd go back and press your dealer again...
Help....
2010 Yukon Denali...I added the GM factory seat back headrest DVDs...one of them is "sprung" in that when I unlatch it to adjust the viewing angle, it falls all the way down to the lowest position.
Is this repairable?
Interestingly, I had a TPMS light come on....had to have one of the sensors replaced inside the rim...the vibration is now gone. Which leads me to wonder if maybe the sensor was loose or if it's just coincidence.
The 08 Tahoe got new shoes yesterday....it's got the 17s which wear out with...
Just put a set of Duelers on the 08 Tahoe yesterday....it's got the 17s and no matter how diligent I am with rotation/balance and maintaining air pressure I cannot get more than 30K out of a set of tires. Good news is the Cooper Discoverers that came off had a 65K warranty and only lasted...
I think the buyout is what you paid less a deduction for the mileage. And you may need to negotiate to see if you can recover sales taxes and registration and title fees.
I went through a similar issue....wound up "upgrading to LTX MS2s....and now having a vibration issue with them. It balances out and is good for 1000-1500 miles then comes right back. Frustrating.
They have road forced them. We are using tape weights. They have even broken the bead and rotated the tire on the rim.
The fact that it can be balanced out, and the truck ride smooth as silk for 1000 miles or so before it returns, leads me to believe that something is going on with one or more...
