New to me 2018 Yukon SLE

Agree with Gary. Never really had good luck with Home Depot and keys. Therefore I’m glad to pay a few bucks extra over their price and make my keys at a local locksmith. Imdon’t see a reason why a locksmith couldn’t do it. Worth at least a check.

    Good plan.

    Automatic park idle shutoff

Mostly likely yes. I know it sucks when your ride is covered in snow (been there, done that back in the day and never again), but to have it idle for hours on end just to melt snow? Might also be a good idea to invest in a battery charger to keep battery charged in case you have doubts.

    Oil and filter

Ah yes... The good old oil thread. Refreshing... :D Mobil 1 and Wix are my choices and I really don't care if I can save a buck or two or ten by using something else. Has worked for me and I ain't about to change that anytime soon. Take it for what ever it's worth. :2cents:

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Did an online chat with TRS and they said they'd send me new ones after I send them pics of the current ones being destroyed or they'll sell me a new pair at 50% discount and refund that once I send them the pics. Chose to pay the 50% since I don't want to keep on removing that stupid airbox...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Went for a drive last night and within the first 1/4 mile the driver side went out. So, it kind of looks to me like there’s something wrong with it. Or would the anti-flicker modules prevent that from happening? So freaking annoying... :banghead:

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Swapped bulbs around and so far so good. First they flickered a bit and the one I moved from passenger side went out. Did some driving around with them on and they were still on when I came back. Will go for a drive when it gets dark and see what happens. Not holding my breath...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The issue is the same regardless if I have the switch on auto or just normal on. Next thing I’m going to do is swapping sides, just to make sure. If the problem moves over, I’d like to think I’ve found the problem. Luckily my wife doesn’t have any need to drive after dark, so the LEDs will stay...

That was also my assumption, but thought I'd check since I know at least you and maybe also others have just recently done the upgrade. Will take another look at them on Saturday.

So..., been thinking about this bulb situation and hopefully I'm not an idiot. Well..., I am, but still. Do you the anti-flicker modules with these things? I didn't order them, so could that be the cause here?

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Definitely something I should do. However, I would also expect these expensive and quite highly recommended Morimotos to work as advertized. That’s why I bought them and not cheapos. But yeah, of course it could be something with the truck.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Checked passenger side light and everything was fine. Still a no go. Connector was tight on. Even tried turning the connector around and light didn’t come on at all. Lights come on just fine, but right when you step on the brake to shift out of park, both flicker and passenger side goes out...

Lucky you! Having the passenger side go out is about par for how things usually go with me. LOL!

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got goodies from The Retrofitsource and of course had to get to it right away. I don’t quite get why these aftermarket companies can’t get their bulbs dialed in so that the LEDs are at 9 and 3 as I’m pretty sure that’s where they should be. Anyway..., got them in and just slightly off from the...

    Looking to buy a Denali

Ahh, yes... The good old "no haggle" pricing... One of the reasons why I stay away from dealers. But if the price fits your budget and the truck meets your expectations, I wouldn't let a mismatching set of tires break the deal. I didn't like the Chinese crap tires the PO of our Suburban had put...

    Looking to buy a Denali

Yes. If it was me and considering buying it, I’d either request the dealer get a new set or drop a grand off the price.

    Reliability of a 2017

True. Plus with 16+ you also get Android Auto/Apple Car Play if thise are important. One thing I’m really missing in our Suburban.

    Reliability of a 2017

There aren’t too many common issues with those as some of hiccups from the earlier models have been corrected by 2017. So, just like with any vehicle, a lot of it comes down to what kind of upkeep the thing has received. Some people trash theirs in 50K miles, some keep up and maintain them...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Good point about the housing. First K2xx SUV for us, so things might work differently with LEDs in these than in the GMT900. Your pics actually were the ones that kind of pushed me over to spend the coin on Morimotos. Everybody keeps saying how good they are compared to any cheapos, like the...

    Pairing New Key Set?

IIRC, you have to have two previously programmed keys to be able to program more. Check your local mom-and-pop locksmiths for programming if needed. Usually much better/faster service, not to mention cheaper. I just had an extra remote (entry/keyless push-button start) programmed for my 2011...

    2nd row seat swap

Pretty sure your best bet would your local Craigslist/OfferUp/5miles etc., or FB Marketplace. Haven't had a need for a swap in any of ours since we've always had buckets, but I guess the mounting are the same and already there...?

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ordered a set of H11 Morimoto 2stroke 3.0s. I'm really not a huge fan of putting LEDs into factory housing, but guess I'll try and see how they look like. Had them in wife's previous (2010 Tahoe) one and I got them pretty well situated so they didn't scatter and blind others too bad. I also...

    P0442 Code

@PNW VietVet kind of has a point since the EVAP system in GM vehicles is crap. Other than my wife's 07 Escalade back in the day, I don't think I can remember having a single one longer term that didn't throw EVAP codes at some point. Never replaced the whole system on any of them, but definitely...

2015 Tahoe Rear Window Defroster Tab Repair

That's what I did on our 07 Tahoe back in the day. I'm by no means very good with soldering gun, but even I was able to pull off the fix. Probably not going to work in cold weather, though. Just like OP figured out couple of years ago.
