SmartLiner vs. YitaMotor Custom Fit Floor Liners Side By Side Comparison

Difficult to say as I haven’t done any comparisons. Hence my statement. Haha! I’m definitely a cheapass, but will invest on good stuff, too. Spent quite a few bucks on Lloyds mats for my wife’s 07 Escalade back in the day, for example. After that the interior on all our SUVs has been black, so...

SmartLiner vs. YitaMotor Custom Fit Floor Liners Side By Side Comparison

I sure am glad the PO took care of the floor mat situation with WeatherTechs so I don’t have to shop around. :D

Ummmmmm....... :signs16: I can appreciate the time and effort, but damn... IMO it sure ain’t a beaut.

    Tow hook/fog light fascia

Been collecting parts for the conversion over the last few weeks and should have the last bits here within the next week or so. Ordered the Gen5DIY harness today, so I guess that will be the only question mark. Hope it doesn't take too long. Got plenty of time put them on since I'm on vacation...

    Wireless Apple CarPlay?

I might be missing something and somebody will correct me if/when I’m wrong, but one of the requirements is listed as having an Android head unit and you need to be able install an app on the HU, so pretty sure that’s not going to work.

    Hardwiring Radar Detector

Might want to post your question somewhere in the 2021+ section. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/categories/2021-tahoe-yukon-escalade-models.147/

    What's to like?

A big old hunk of and SUV weighing a lot is not a lot of fun to drive? Fancy that... :laughing1: Visibility might be worse than in those things from the 70s, but pretty sure they didn't have airbags stuffed into each nook and cranny, either. And the A-pillar probably buckled a bit easier than...

    Tow hook/fog light fascia

Damn you @Craignor for bringing this up. :banghead: Now I'm shopping for good deals on the fascia, fog light brackets and lights to start with. o_O Probably will add tow hooks on the list at some point, too. :D Thanks for making me spend more money. :doh2:

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Pretty sure this is what you need. https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-silverado-sierra-manual-to-power-passenger-seat-retrofit-harness/ If you’re handy, guess you could do it yourself, too. Did the console retrofit already with Phil’s harness a couple months ago. Still considering...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

DiabLew tune installed and it's amazing how much better the truck drives when you get rid of all the BS and tweak things a bit more. Tune was the last thing on the immediate to-do list. Will do tranny/rear end fluids in a little while.

Front MRC Shock Replacement, OE or Aftermarket?

Yup. What a stupid design. I'm pretty sure it could've been made hell of a lot easier. Just did the rears myself last weekend and even though they weren't too too bad, they still could've been easier.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ain't that the truth! Again, not too bad since I got both done in about 45 minutes, but it sure needed quite a few strong words in between wrenching. So freaking easy in the pickup!

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

KYB Gas-a-just rear shocks installed today to match the front struts PO had put on a couple of months ago. Passenger side was somewhat a PITA. I don’t get why they couldn’t put the threads on the bracket instead of using bolt and a nut. Or at least welded a nut on the bracket. Access is...

    Moving on up

Thanks. Yeah, mods like new tires yesterday and Airaid MIT and DiabLew tune as well as new water pump and rear shocks. :D Maybe something later, but it IS wife's ride after all, so have to be careful. Can't do anything to the exhaust, for example.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Had an appointment for this afternoon to put the tires on and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with how they handled everything. Tires look and ride great and are only three weeks old. Chinese rubber still had a lot to go and was thinking about taking them home to sell, but turned out two...

    Recommended tires?

I get it. I’ve had plenty of preformance vehicles that benefited from perfomance tires and you could definitely tell a difference between different tires. However, I am talking here about my wife and she isn’t in the enthusiast category. She’s one of those who could care less. As long as the...

If the 80K mile tires that are going on tomorrow are done with at 18K, Costco will definitely hear from me. :deal:

    Recommended tires?

Had those on my wife's 2010 Tahoe we just sold in lieu of the Suburban we just got and while they were nice and quiet and all that, I wasn't too impressed with the wear. In 15K miles they were pretty damn worn, even with my frequent air checks, rotating them every 5-7K etc. And they didn't even...

'Factory' Service Manuals - The Cheap DVDs: a review

I've bought SM or two like that off Ebay over the years and while they are clumsy to use, it still beats paying out the wazoo for the real deal since their prices have skyrocketed over the years. I remember buying a genuine three part SM set for my 2000 Z28 for something like 100 bucks back in...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ordered a set of new rubber for wife's Burb. The Chinese things that it came with are working fine, but I just don't trust them to last much longer, so decided to go ahead and take the plunge. Got a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus from Costco since they had a $150 rebate going on...

Need help to replace Front and back MRC on 2016 Yukon Denali

Arnott, for sure! But buy elsewhere if possible. Used their conversion kits on two Expeditions (I know, I know...) back in the day and they were great. No error messages etc. Good stuff.

    Rancho QuickLift

Not Tahoe, but actually just installed QuickLifts in the front and RS5000x in the rear of my 2016 Silverado today. Left them on #5 setting and they are great. Maybe slightly hard, but my old ones were goners, so that might have something to do with it. Was thinking about putting a set on the...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got me stuff to do this weekend. In case I find the time... Have Rancho QuickLift fronts and RS5000X rears to do on my Silverado, so we’ll see which one gets done first.
