2018 Yukon Stuck Emergency Brake

I have a 2018 Yukon with a manual emergency brake, and it is stuck in the down (floorboard) position. How do I release it?

Press and release the pedal three times? If the mechanism broke, you can try disconnecting the rear cables along the frame on the driver's side LR door. This should relieve the tension. Then, see if the truck will move freely and that a parking brake shoe is not jammed up inside the drum in hat rotor on either side of the rear axle. Do this before heading off at speed anywhere.
