2017 Yukon XL Air Conditioning Went Out

I'm assuming it's the usual AC condenser issue? Been a while since I read that notice, but I do believe that not all 15-17s are covered (VIN specific) and unfortunately it sounds like yours is one of them. Pretty sure they changed the design somewhere at the beginning of 2017 model year builds...

    Moving on up

No question the Burb definitely rides smoother, but I still think we could've just gone with a Tahoe/Yukon. But who am I to say anything, right? Happy wife, happy life. She finally got what she really wanted and is extremely happy with it and remembers to say how she loves driving it after...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Looks like I’m talking to myself here. :D WeatherTech cargo cover just arrived. Once it’s all settled in, I’m sure it’s going to be great. My wife is a bit of a pig, you know... She already got close to spilling red wine in there. :doh2:

    Anyone with a 2017 Escalade?

I’m sure there are. Why not post the question already, though?

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changed belt tensioner and while some of the sound disappeared, I guess it’s time to change the water pump. Pretty sure the bearing is shot since the pulley has probably 2-3mm play in it. Compared that to my Silverado and that thing doesn’t have any play whatsoever in it. So... On to the...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Next order of business was Airaid MIT and Elite Engineering catch can. Was also hoping to be able swap the belt tensioner but Amazon is running late. Sounds to me like the pulley is making noise, ordered AC Delco replacement. Yeah, I need to clean the engine bay a little bit, too.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I can't imagine there would be too many differences in the stock tuning between the trucks and SUVs, but I gotta say the Suburban felt almost like a dog compared to my Silverado, stock vs. stock. Not like there was something wrong, but just WAY too soft on any of the responses. Installed...

    2017 Tahoe..Liftgate issue

Not sure if that has anything to do with the power close not working, but is the knob in the ceiling console set to "Max"?

Four years is pretty much the life cycle of a battery nowadays.

    Should I or shouldn't i

Just listened to the video and I kind of agree with a couple of the guys in the other thread that it could be the exhaust flap doing it's thing. If it's something internal, I'd imagine it would be doing it at least somewhat continuously, not just a quick knock and then be gone until the next...

    Moving on up

Yes, there are at least MVI and Navtool who offer such add-ons, but at a cost. Just to reiterate: Having it or not is not a major priority, just something I want to explore if the price stays low enough. So far it's not worth the price. Hence, being the cheapass I am, I'm hoping to find a...

    Moving on up

Haven’t dug too deeply into it, but it seems you’d need a newer HMI module (version 2.5) and the radio module and have them programmed to your VIN. The thing that gets me a bit confused is that most comments/instructions are talking about upgrading from I05, not I06 which I have. Definitely...

    Moving on up

We'll see about the tire size if/when we get there, but I've seen 305s in some trucks and they do look nice and beefy (=comfortable). One thing I'm actually a bit bummed about is that this thing doesn't have Apple Carplay. It has the I06 with factory navi, but no Carplay. Not really excited...

    Moving on up

20" is pretty much where I personally think the sweet spot is. The 07 Tahoe we had came with 24s and was ridiculous. Went immediately down to 22" and eventually to 20". 2010 Tahoe came with factory 18s, but upgraded them to factory 20s. Haven't driven this one that much to form an opinion yet...

    Moving on up

Thanks, guys! Not sure about the wheels. Haven't had time to look at them yet. Will try to do some over the weekend. They are 22s and I don't think GM had that style of 22s available... I do like them, but what I don't like is that the guy put some Chinese Fullway, or something like that...

    Moving on up

So... When kids have been gone for a few years, it's time to upsize the house and the ride, right? Upsized the house last year, so now it was time for the ride. Not sure why, but for the last couple of years my wife has been wanting a Suburban to accomodate those 2-3 times a year Tahoe wasn't...

    Upgraded to a new Tahoe

Looks like he hasn't been here in over a year, so let's hope he has email notifications when there are responses in the thread. Maybe he'll come back and update.

What’s this threaded insert for in hatch?

Also FYI, GMPartsDirect also sells on Ebay. Prices are slightly more expensive than on their website, but shipping is free. They are definitely not the cheapest game in town, but sometimes they have been the only place with the part I needed, so haven’t had much choice. Couple of items I’ve...

Considering 09 Denali or Tahoe with 200k

Unless you find somebody who doesn’t know what they are selling, I highly doubt you’ll find a 6.2 Tahoe for 7K. Or maybe you get lucky... I’ve never been one to balk at miles when I’m buying. I’m more looking for the overall appearance and condition. Service records are a plus, of course. My 07...

    Considering 2010 GMC Yukon SLT

Damn..., and here I thought I did good getting 11K for my wife’s 2010 Tahoe. :( Guess I should’ve held firm on my asking price of 12K. :D

    Considering 2010 GMC Yukon SLT

As long as you are aware of the the potential issues with AFM and are fine with it, I think the rest is just the stuff you should check on any other used vehicle: sights, smells and sounds. The truck looks like and all, but 16 grand??? Wow! But if that's the going rate in your area, then...

    2008 Suburban 6.0 L. Buy or pass?

Not a big surprise there and the ad I saw on Craigslist had $6300 as the price.

Looks like somebody might've snatched it already since the ad just disappeared.

    2008 Suburban 6.0 L. Buy or pass?

And yes, no AFM crap to deal with. Even though I'm now in the market for a K2xx SUV for the wife, I was kind of thinking about going to check that one out, too. Just something for myself to play with... :D

    2008 Suburban 6.0 L. Buy or pass?

This one? I'd say go check it out. Price is damn good for a 2500, especially if you prefer it in the LS flavor.
