What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Scan tool for bleeding brakes? Potentially yes, if you are messing with the ABS, but if you are just doing your normal bleeding, there's no scan tool needed.

A swedish Suburban owner needs advice

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I just don't get why on earth you would even consider going from a 2011 low-mile Suburban to something several years older and with 100K+ more miles. Or are you making payments on the current one and selling it to get rid of the payment and then getting...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

You can’t. TPMS system can’t be disabled, so you need to either install a working sensor or come up with some kind of workaround as suggested above.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

LEDified the interior of my Silverado a few weeks ago and after seeing them at night, my wife asked when am I going to do the same on her Tahoe. So, started with that project yesterday with the dome/visor lights. Not changing dash lighting etc., just the dome/visor lights and adding 6" strips...

Small and easy fix today. :D Most of the rubbery tabs on the console cupholders were broken, so bought a new one from Amazon. Now she can have her 48oz, or what ever the hell th size is, to go container of coffee, water or whatever resting there without the fear of it tipping over too easily...

    Instrument warning lights issue

If you couldn't pull up any codes with your scanner even when the CEL was on, then you need to first figure out why not. Does your scanner power up when you connect it to the OBD2 port? Also, is the truck running okay or is it missing, idling bad etc.? Does the cruise control work? Is AFM...

    Service battery charging system

First thing to check would be that battery cables are nice and tight. Grab ahold of them and wiggle around. If they move even a little bit, that could cause an issue. Next would probably be ground straps as well as the alternator.

Yup! Time to put your money where your mouth is.

Help, yatesiepoo wants me to fly to cali from ny to buy a truck.

Definitely C. Especially since you don't have to worry about the damn AFM. And that's the one to pull a TT with, anyway. Made for that kind of stuff. The K2xx SUVs have also grown on me by now, but it'll still be quite some time before my wife gets one of those. Hell, she just got the 2010 in...

A swedish Suburban owner needs advice

Is the new one going to be in addition to the 2011 you already have or is it going to replace it? If you are replacing the current one, I wouldn’t even bother. For 10K you are only going to find high-mileage examples that most of the time have been run to the ground.

    Z71 or LTZ

Plenty of references of the 6.2 having the hardware but not activated in the PCM in the interwebs. Even from GM Here's Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LS_based_GM_small-block_engine#4.06_in_bore_blocks_(2007%E2%80%93present)

    Z71 or LTZ

Can’t say anything about Camaros etc. and not even referring to them in this thread wince we are talking about Tahoes, Yukons and Escalades after all. The post I was quoting was talking about 07-08 Denalis and Escalades which do not have AFM. Well..., they have the hardware in place, but the...

Advice about buying a used Yukon to replace my 2003 SLT with 302,000 miles

Actually... If he wants to avoid AFM in a Denali, he needs to go for a n 07-09. AFM hardware was present in 07-09 models, but not activated in the PCM. L92 or L9H is the one to look for, not L94.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Just came back from a two day trip from DFW to Galveston, TX. Went apartment hunting for my daughter who is starting medical school at UTMB in August. First longer road trip with the Tahoe and it ran and drove great all of the about 700 miles we did. Of course. Didn’t measure gas mileage, but...

Any real "gains" from using cold air intake in yukon 6.2L?

I have installed Airaid MITs in my wife's Tahoe as well as my Silverado and I'm happy with them. As said, any power gains are negligible, but the intake sounds are nicer and it also cleans the engine bay nicely. I bought both used for less than 100 bucks on each of them.

Any real "gains" from using cold air intake in yukon 6.2L?

No real world differences in power. Maybe slightly better throttle response and louder intake sounds when you hit the throttle. Save your money and get this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001S21LJ8/ref=psdc_15712291_t1_B00O65H6S4 No need for all the fancy filter stuff as the stock airbox pulls...

Oil (M1 10W-30) and filter (Wix 57060) change today. Was about to rotate tires, but realized the rear ones only ha e maybe 20% left while the fronts are almost new, so I left them there.

Damn! Based on all the suggestions here, I guess I need to go ahead and replace, or at least check, each and every nut, bolt, mount, bushing etc. LOL! :emotions33: But yeah, need to take my time and dive into it again at some point.

Good points, but it’s definitely coming from under the truck on the passenger side. Isn’t the jack on the driver’s side? Driven without the third row in place and the sound was still there. It’s not a major concern, per se, more an annoyance while, everything else is so nice and quiet. Meh...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The sound is in the rear, so no tie rods or struts to deal with. Tried the wheel shaking and it didn't move anywhere. Shocks look good, but at 8 years and 130K miles, might not be a bad idea to consider changing them. As well as the struts in the front, of course.

Clunking, clanking, what ever. LOL! :D Annoying as hell, though. I've yanked the heat shield many times and it hasn't been moving, but I guess I'll drop the spare to make sure it's there properly.
