New to me 99 GMC Suburban
Got the Suburban back now. It runs great. I do have a P0430 that wasn't there before but it hasn't affected performance or fuel economy yet. 99 tahoe misfire, win some,lose some
I had a very similar issue with my 99 Suburban. It turned out to be a cracked head. The crack was next the exhaust valve on the 3rd cylinder. I was getting code P0303. Having the heads replaced now.- BJ80

Yeah, the rough estimate of a new engine was $4000. Not a bad deal considering it's almost half that just for the heads and gaskets but still more than I can swing right now without going in debit. New to me 99 GMC Suburban
Well it turned out to be a cracked head and a blown head gasket on the left side. $1700 to have have the head and intake gaskets, one head machined or replaced, a new radiator (old one had a huge hole), and a new distributor (old one had the ear broken off). I don't guess $1700 is too much for...- BJ80

Thanks for the welcome guys. I found out from my mechanic yesterday the truck sat in idle for over an hour and never misfired once. It isn't tagged yet so they didn't want to drive it but I got them a tag and they are going to let me know something today. I also found out my coolant was leaking...- BJ80
