how did yall like the one that doesn't require a pressure washer...I don't want to have to use a pressure washer and was wondering if it worked...
BTW either of you want to sell yours?
Not regearing and running 37s on 3.42 gears is going to be hell on the trucks drivetrain (just as stated above). It puts a lot more stress on the transmission.
Honestly if it has been taken care of I wouldn't worry about the extended warranty...do you have any gear noise from the front differential. I know on my 2004 and my buddies 2004 (both being AWD) the front bearings went out in the front diff...that alone is about 1200 thru the dealership (way...
I would definitely NOT run 4.88's with 33's or 35's on the Vortech style motors. I had 4.88's and 35x14.50 grapplers on my OBS Tahoe and I hated it...sucked fuel like a son of a ***** and always felt like I was OUT of the power band. The OBS motors don't like to rev and have rpm's like the LS...
that sucks dude...I just bought my Denali a few months ago and now the damn carrier bearings are going out in the front diff...that's not gonna be cheap for me
All you have to do is go to the parts store and buy a small bolt...it just keeps it from vibrating against the head shield...I just didn't have time to go to the store and get the bolt, and never really worried about it.
Yes it will fit the 6.0
I have a used Spectre CAI and K&N recharge kit that I am selling is why I asked...Lemme know if you want details...here is the thread.

I think it is because in 99 they started making the new body style Chevrolet, so they do it to differentiate things...so people wouldn't order a lift for their 99 OBS vehicle and then complain that it didn't fit their 99 NBS vehicle.
I am selling my intake off the wife's Tahoe. It is the Sprectre CAI part number 9900. It makes too much noise for my wife so I am going to go with the Air Raid Jr. Intake on it just like I have on my Denali.
Everything is there except for 1 bolt that stabilizes the intake on the heat...
Go with a 1.5" bodylift and be done with it. I would not get Ford lift keys and install them in your Z71 due to the fact that your CV angles already don't look too good.
Also 37's on a 6" lift and 18x10's is going to rub
I personally had a 1999 4wd Tahoe that had a manifold crack on it so I "upgraded" to Gibson shorty headers...I could not tell any difference in performance AT ALL. I would never waste the money or time to put shorty headers on a truck
Thanks a ton for the information. What all is included in a whole rebuild vs having the shop install all new bearings and seals? Are you saying I need to replace the gear set as well?
Well I have a 2004 Yukon Denali that seems to have the dreaded front end noise associated with carrier bearings going out. I called a few shops and they want between 600-950 to replace all the bearings in the front end and that just seems insane to me. I was wondering what was the normal going...
Just for reference I bought a 2004 Denali with really good shape with 134k miles on it two months ago for $8,000...it has a few dings and nicks in the paint, but inside was perfect...gives you a reason to hassle with him on price at least
