I have a 96 Tahoe LT that is completely stock. It is just a daily driver and I use it to toe my quads every so often. I'm already thinking about getting a BB tune. So my question is are there any benefit to replacing the stock headers I'm not looking to get long tubes just a direct replacement. And possibly a aftermarket muffler.

unknown at this time.
Generally it is the type of materials use, finishes, various thicknesses and quality of the build. Never heard any complaints about JBA ever.

I personally had a 1999 4wd Tahoe that had a manifold crack on it so I "upgraded" to Gibson shorty headers...I could not tell any difference in performance AT ALL. I would never waste the money or time to put shorty headers on a truck

thats what I was affraid of....everyone says LT are the only way to go but then I would need new cats and extensions for my O2 sensors probably and X-pipe...just sounds exspensive

Shorts are a waste of time. Its longtubes or nuthing.
If you want alil more pulling power.
Look into a small cam and intake combo. Its cheaper and simpler to install, especially on a 96. Edelbrock performer intake and a cam cut for your needs.
Or swap your rear gears for some 3.73's if you dont already have them, If you do go to 4.11's.
Defiantly look into a E-fan setup.
Cold air kit, WITH enclosed box, Ebay.
Don't let anyone fool you, the ONLY thing needed for a functional CAI, in a enclosed box and a good flowing airfilter..

Here is a exhaust setup, Plug n play.
If you are currently 2 into one muffler setup, these below will convert you to a 1/1 muffler. for simplicity and driveway installation.

These will bolt right up to any of the exhausts below.

Y-pipe
I am having trouble locating the Y pipe for LT headers that merge into one pipe for the catbacks listed above.
I know there out there, as My buddie has one on his gmc truck. He runs pacesetter LT's and a Pacesetter Y pipe.

Yeh my stock exhaust is 2 into muffler then 1 out...and looking up through those edlbrock intakes just gets confusing I can never tell whichs is for mine since I dnt have carb or TBI

I have been considering a cold air intake but Im affraid it will keep the check engine light on...cause on my 2010 Titan I just sold it was always on and that was with brand new K&N filter guess it had a sensitive MAF sensor

My bad on the intake, I was thinking TBI setup.
There's no intake for your setup that I am aware of.

As far as the CAI, don't worrie about it with your MAF. It wont bother it at all.
