Right now I have a DJM 3-5 kit on my wife's Yukon XL. It has the control arms in the front, I have the new torsion keys and Belltech 5305 coils. I also have the Bilstein shocks to put on. My question is would putting the lowering keys on the front help the ride any?
Now that you see how much good looking brakes improve the way a truck looks.....order some big brakes. You will be very happy, I have SSBC 14" rotors all around and SSBC Tri Power calipers in the front. On the XL it out brake my Camaro
Since my wife hit a pole with hit truck I need a new bumper. I was to get the rear chrome bumper off and get something paintable on. I would prefer the Denali style but not against the roll pan or a cover over the chrome bumper she has as the dent in it could be hammered out for the cover to go...
Outlaw 10.5 cars? I went to Texas for TX2K10 and I don't recall one car (other than one of the guys with us had a CTS V) being SCed. There were a couple Turbo/SC Ford GTs but that's it.
You asked me if I was saying I prefer the way a turbo responds, or the way it responds vs a SC in a thread titled SC or Turbo. I seriously doubt I would be compairing it to the way nitrous makes a motor respond in this thread. I am not starting the supercharger vs turbo debate. I prefer a...
But, my vote is turbo. I love a turbo, I am thinking about a 6.0 swap and cam or a 6.0 swap with a remote mounted 67 maybe. Superchargers are nice but I prefer the way a turbo responds better
Here's the deal, I am going to freshen the 130k mile tranny and add a 2800 stall TC for my wife's Yukon XL. I am trying to find a 6.0 to swap in but if I can't find one decently priced in decent condition the 5.3 will get the nod. So I am thinking about adding a cam to her truck for some better...
I believe that is the correct part number. I have been told not to worry about changing the rear springs on my wife's 3-5 truck until recently. I was doing all the research and ready to order then she pulled me off. Well a recent to trip to Florida in my dually (bagged and rides incredible) she...
I was going to get them from Summit but it seems as they are out of stock. Has anyone towed with these springs? I towed about 8k with my wife's truck at 2-3 but never at 3-5
I am ready to order new shocks and I am thinking going with Bilsteins, I also want a really good steering stabilizer, softer 5 1/2" drop coils (thought I so the QA1, Belltech 5305 or TBSS springs worked which ones are softest or keep the DJMs) Air Lift 1000s for the 3-5 kit and maybe the sway...
How much for some coils to be much softer than the blue DJMs I have now? Do I need the QA1s, these or Bell Techs? I want something soft and should be able to keep the stiffness in check with the Air Lift springs.....right?
