Im sure if you search there are plenty of topics on this, but it all depends on what level you want the truck to perform at. I would say a basic supercharger kit would be around $6k, and chances are youre going to have to custom build a turbo kit so that can be anywhere from $2k to 9k. I just spent $9k on puttin a turbo kit on my RX8. Take your original budget, and triple it. But if you want more power than the stock engine components can handle, Id say youll easily be in the $10k+ range

I just took my Tahoe for a cruise today for the first time with the new front mount turbocharger kit and it is freaking nuts, so i would say go turbo. KB racing makes trubo kits for GM trucks/suv's if you want his email i can give it to ya. He made my whole kit in about 3 weeks, and it comes with everything you need except injectors and a tune. I have less than 5000 in the whole thing. He can sometimes give really good proves too.

Wow man, thats a really good price. Did this come with turbo manifolds or did he just invert the stockers? Do you know what size turbo youre running? Have any pics?

He makes the manifolds, they are really thick. My turbo is a Masterpower T76, with the q trim turbine (1.0 a/r) and a (.72 a/r) on the compressor wheel. He does not use stainless piping like some other kits, but that does not bother me. This also comes with JGS wastegate, and I believe a tial BOV. I will have pictures later today, i will probably start a thread to show my progress on the kit.

But, my vote is turbo. I love a turbo, I am thinking about a 6.0 swap and cam or a 6.0 swap with a remote mounted 67 maybe. Superchargers are nice but I prefer the way a turbo responds better

Are you saying that a turbo responds better than a SC, or you like the way a turbo responds versus a SC? Because a turbo has lag and a SC doesn't. I prefer a SC between the two. I've had both in my life and a turbo is definitely more involved than a SC. A SC is far more forgiving to mods done afterward than a turbo is. For instance, changing the exhaust on a vehicle that already has a turbo on it will require a different tune than what it already had. With a SC, not really necessary.
