    Apparently not on a 13 PPV after trying it many times. Probably so no one can shut off going 130+. I'll try the brake fluid level switch disconnect tip, and if that works I'll install a switch I guess. Too cold to deal with it now.

    You could easily find a junk one and re-attach the left piece with a little paint for cheap I'm sure. I took the not so easy part of shelling out $150, but it was easy to install, plus mine was already all scratched up.

    The INST is pretty useless, so I just monitor the AVG, and try to be conscious of how to make the reading go up to save money, although it's much more fun driving the average down to like 7 mpg! No point in being in a big hurry to get to the next red light, and hard on the brakes.

    Mine only says zero when I'm not moving, otherwise it is reading different mpg all the time based on throttle position, and engine load. I'm guessing if you still had AFM it would also toggle between V8 and V4.

    After installing the dic, I've been able to improve my MPG quite a bit by being more conscious, because I'm able to monitor my average MPG now. I don't always need to be in a hurry to get someplace early, which I usually am anyway!

    Probably need to tune the AFM out of it, because it can't sound that great when it switches back and forth between V8 and V4.

    Seems that it should be possible with a pushbutton simply installed in the dash. Just need to find a schematic for the switch, plus determine if they use a latching pushbutton, or a relay? I don't really need it on the end of the shift lever anyway.

    Getting the DIC on my 13 ppv I was able to get the total fuel used in addition to total hours. 74344 miles 9990 hours=7.44 MPH avg. 9040 gallons=8.22 MPG avg. I should be able get the average speed up for sure, but probably not the fuel.

    I just ordered the switch and trim panel from my local dealer, and I'll find out tomorrow if it has the hole, or not. It was $25 for the switch, and $148 for the trim.

    I think the option to do that disappeared in 2013, as I'm finding out. Haven't had any yet, but I always loved getting out in the fresh snow for a little drifting. Been doing that for 47 years just for fun.

    Good to hear. I always thought it would be cool to have a 6 passenger vehicle again like they had back in the day. I had the same setup in the front of my 08 Silverado regular cab, and thought why not in a Tahoe? Not much center legroom though.
