Please ignore the "experts" That claim flowmasters are restrictive. Do they make as much horsepower as a flow through design like magnaflow? They don`t but in this dyno muffler comparison test the numbers are very close between all of them and the flowmaster they tested was a 50 series suv...
And to answer the question, I didn`t really notice much of a difference between the two but for a few dollars extra every fill up i figured what the hell.
I had a 91 octane tune but i now have a 93 tune, When i set up my appointment for a retune i`m pretty sure justin or jenna would have told me that it didn`t exist.
Just to make sure i`m not losing my mind i googled it and loads of results came up for the 93 option...
I`m running R-1 concepts Eline slotted and drilled for about three years and the rotor hats are still completely rust free and look great. No warping or cracking either and they`re having a 10% off sale right now.
I`m not sure about the gauge but if you can hear the pump come on and the gauge isn`t reading any pressure it`s a long shot but when is the last time you changed your fuel filter? I have seen completely clogged filters but that was in older cars with metal tanks and rust clogged the filter...
Those pictures are even worse than your original pics. At least they were close to touching moving parts and not laying up against the body mount. They should be secured with brake line clamps with rubber inserts. I`m with Red Rocket on demanding a refund and take it to someone that knows...
If they still hold it at the same place it`s at a mall that`s right off the highway and just far enough away to enjoy the tune on your way back home. Going to mass is a little out of the way but still worth it if was the only option.
Is the somerset NJ meet happening? It`s only about an hour away from our area and easy to get to. I got a 91 octane tune first at an albany ny meet and went for the 93 retune in somerset.
Look at post number 51 on page 6 of this thread. There are 3-4 of us with them here but the ones in your picture look like 22`s and that`s what is in post 51 i think the rest including me have 20`s
The 285`s are slightly over an inch bigger and about 3/4 inch wider. With a leveling kit i`m pretty sure you`ll be ok but hopefully someone running that size will respond. Z71 springs will give you a little more height over regular coils.
I copied the comparison below but it`s a little tough...
I would find another shop, Any place with a pipe bender should easily be able to do the job. I paid $800 for a stainless cat back with dual side outlet at my local exhaust shop.
If you live in the rust belt stay away from the flowmaster kits unless they`re stainless because they`ll last about...
Unless you plan on putting a high horsepower engine in the single exhaust is more than enough for a stock/ slightly modified engine. If you`re like me and like the dual tailpipe look just have them bent up at a shop. The cost of running a true dual setup vs the return on any gains will be...
I would keep the stock pan and throw one of these drain plug kits on. I have never used one myself but i know a few guys that have and they had no complaints...
When i bent mine i just put a large adjustable wrench on the bracket and pulled down. I tried pliers at first but as you found out that it`s pretty thick steel.
Just like galante i bent the shift cable bracket down a little so i could slide the pan out. I tried to get the bracket bolts out but they`re torx bolts and you can`t see them. I couldn`t get them to move so i bent the bracket and never bent it back because the bend did not affect the way it...
Avoid washing in the sun. If hard water dries on your paint especially on dark colors it will be a pain to remove. The calcium in my towns wells is incredible so if i have to wash in the sun i keep the washed areas wet while i do the rest and then pull it into the garage to dry it. I`m lucky...
