    Another thought, open/close the hatch, see if draw changes while moving. maybe there’s a short in the wire bundle in the back end

    Does the draw stop when you pull relay out ? bad grounding can cause weird things, start checking for that as well, specially braided type ground wires.

    I dropped the oil early as I could not find any info what the factory oil is. I’d like it to be a full syntetic. The 5.3 runs flawless! really happy with it, like to keep it that way, maybe it does nothing but will drop it again at 4500 miles in two weeks. Same reason I wax my car or wash it...

    Your point is ? this sounds like a venting post, did the dealer or GM leave you stranded ? sounds like they fixed it. They build 195000 units like these a year. for sure there’s to be a few bumps along the way. Cars are pretty complicated these days.

    Is it just me? but filling the Yukon with gas, the nozzle trips off a lot! don’t matter if nozzle is all the way in or not. This the nature of the beast ?

    Bumper/Fender joint started to work the paint. seen this on my Canyon too. ofcourse could bring it to dealer for warranty but don’t want the bumper removed/painted so did a DYI.

    green energy stinks. EV lightning or EV silverado’s are good for collectors. they don’t actually make sense. EV’s are frontloaded with pollution. most of them will never make up the difference. not only that most people cannot afford a basic EV if EV is the argument. Love how quiet they are...

    Towing Question about the Squat

    Have a 4x4 5.3L SLT With 470LBS on the ball it drops just under 1.5” - not enough to get weight distribution. Towed 100 miles today, speeds around 70MPH with tandem axle 4000lbs winnebago. tows solid. straight as an arrow, fuel burn about double , transmission temp steady at 147F @ 2100RPM

    My Iphone 13 mini has the same issue. camera hump and won’t charge wirelessly. wireless carplay works with cable plugged in for me no problem so it’s possible but…i’m using the usb-c port from the center console.

    If temp has no effect on DEF why would def manufacturers post it (or walmart keep it in AC?) Certainly has an effect on it, it will need much more fluid to get the same result. but if DEF sits in your vehicle that long be prepared for a big bill one of these days. Lots of diesels further...

    old thread but DEF is DEF, however, DEF at Truckstop stays in the ground and stays cooler. DEF goes bad when exposed to heat. can go bad in a matter of days if you keep it in the sun. shelf life at 104F is 60 days. Keep your DEF filled up. if you run it down to the bottom you’re asking for...

    Read about the changes Gen 2 vs Gen 3 - Gen 3 Probably will be the factory/shop refill going forward. The way I read it the Gen 3 performs slightly less in certain other areas. Sorry- Don’t wan’t to hijack the thread, as Oil can fill the entire forum. Hope the OP has an update

    May not be a lifter issue after all. Taking a shot in the dark here but GM changed to a new oil specification Dexos 1 Gen 3. the Gen 3 specifically adds more protection for pre-ignition turnover. since lot of wear happens at cranking maybe they are trying to mitigate the “lifter issue”...

    If you tow a lot or live in a city where the roads suck (sorry guys..Detroit or Montreal comes to mind) Would be world of difference. the ride will be better for sure. Not sure if Yukons or Tahoe’s have self leveling headlamps (mine don’t look like it) but that alone is worth something if you tow.

    Thanks, Just noticed I’m in the 2014 section. not sure how to move it to > 2021 I see 21MPG on highway, but you may be right. just be a bit richer first few hundred miles indeed. i’ll drop it again at 3000 miles. put in a full synthetic. Just have 700 miles on it. picked it up a week ago...

    Dunno, haven’t had a gas engine in a while, seems little dark for 700 miles. may be perfectly fine but expected lighter. anyone know if factory fill on 5.3 for Yukon is actually synthetic ?
