    Sorry to highjack this but I have been chasing vibrations as well when the AC comes on. How much play should be in the idle pulley for the AC belt? I checked mine last night and it has some wiggle from side to side, but not too much.

    I wanted to add some notes. The vibration seems to be happening even when the AC is off, just less. When I rev the engine between 700-1000RPMS it seems to be most noticeable then goes away after you pass 1000. Could this be the IAC?

    I think it is the TC as well or related. I took it to my mechanic and they said my rim was bent. This doesn't make sense to me as everything is smooth except when i get between 40 and 57 it starts to shudder. Did they flush the transmission or just use a cleaner?

    I have not tried that but I have no spare switches to try. I have similar problems in my 98 yukon but buying a new control panel did nothing for them. Is the anything that I can check that would cause the new resistor to go bad? I checked out the wires and didn't find any bad ones or burnt spots.

    Did it make any grinding noises on the way down? This happened to me one day and the magnet inside the motor broke off and seized it up. Had to replace the whole mechanism.
