Hello,

I have a pretty bad vibration that I believe is from the AC compressor when I am stopped at a light. If I roll a little bit it goes away but them comes back when I am sitting.

Is there anything that can be done short of replacing compressor?

The pulleys and belts are all new.

When's the last time you've cleaned the throttle body? Changed plugs? The vibration is probably from the engine, the AC is just putting enough load on it to cause the vibration.

I sprayed the throttle body down around 5000 miles ago.

I need to change the plugs. I have them in my garage. I just havent got around to it yet.

When I turn the AC off the vibration goes away.

So what do you recommend? Changing the plugs first? Truck runs great otherwise!

What year is your truck? The later IAC isn't serviceable. All you can do is scrub the throttle body, and spray in the iac air port. I would clean the MAF as well, most people neglect the maf, and it can cause all kinda of efficiency and running issues.

It is a 2005. The IAC must not be serviceable because I do not see it for sale on rockauto.

When it goes bad, how do you replace it?

It comes as an assembly with throttle body. It's riveted on, combined with the tps and throttle motor.

Sorry to highjack this but I have been chasing vibrations as well when the AC comes on. How much play should be in the idle pulley for the AC belt? I checked mine last night and it has some wiggle from side to side, but not too much.
