2007 Tahoe 5.3l AFM DOD delete thread

That's the information I was reading last night. I am going to replace the m355 with the m295hv and seat a new Oring and go from there. I have low oil pressure only when engine is cold and after I get to 210 degrees my oil pressure stays above 40psi even at idle. Tahoe runs great otherwise.

Harmonic balancer was seated fine guess the lighting really played tricks Low oil pressure at idle only when car is cold issue. I was referenced a Melling M355 oil pump so I installed without double checking fitment. Doing a quick Google search it calls for oil pump part# M295 Could this...

    What could this sound be?

What could be this sound? Randomly hear at idle and sometimes at accelerate. The sound is intermittent at Left driver side. Exhaust leak? Sounds like paper being ripped Recently afm delete and installed JBA headers.

It's weird to me cause I followed the steps I thought perfectly maybe it could of got bent during removal idk. I'll buy a entire new one and repeat. My oil pressure at idle very low. Going to have a shop test the oil pressure for me this week

Stabilitrak service warning light is gone. I unplugged the battery for about 10 minutes since I wasn't throwing anymore codes. Started back up and it's gone for now. Harmonic Balancer does have a slight wobble I will have to repeat the steps of install.

Update: y-pipe is on with upstream 02 sensor installed. All codes are gone thankfully. I still have the "SERVICE STABILITRAK" warning sign on dash though. I have no clue why or how to clear it. Any thoughts? Oil pressure surprisingly is above 40psi at idle after I drove around the neighborhood...

Yea it sucks trying to pin point it. I pray I dont have to drop that pan again. My oil filter was loose and leaking some oil a bit so i tightened it down more hope that was the cause will start up and run again. Oil pressure only drops at idle.

Thanks Steele . The o ring I installed fitted pretty snug even before tightening I hope it's not the o ring cause I hate dropping that oil pan.

For the low oil pressure is it because that screen was removed?

The 02sensors closest to the headers so my upstream sensors are unplugged. Let me get the ypipe and upstream 02 sensors hooked up. I hope that's the issue what yall think?

Downstream I assume the ones that hook on the cats.

Would running straight headers cause this? I don't have the y pipe bolted up to the headers yet. I was also getting a lean code. Could it be because the o2 sensors are not hooked up/y-pipe and the engine running lean cause the misfires?

    2) plugs and wires are new. I'd have to replace coil packs, injectors would running a fuel system cleaner fix that? 3) I did remove the small oil screen filter because it wasn't fitting with the new vlom and read somewhere on a GM site that running without doesn't hurt but of course I could be...

Alright guys after a long process and having to put off the project due to traveling and etc... I finally got it started and running. I do have three things that concern me. 1) Stabilitrak light is still on. Why could this be? 2) p300 engine misfire code. This worries me any reason why I could...

Will do but if holding key to start wouldn't the car start? Or does the pedal pressed down flood it to where it won't start?

My cover is off. To realign the timing cover? Would unbolting balancer bolt be a step or working around it unbolting timing cover to readjust?
