    Replacing metal brake lines

So, my brake lines do not look so hot on my 2004 z71. I heard that the lines often fail prematurely. I was looking to replace some of them now since vehicle is 10 years old and has about 120k. I am not really looking to go SS due to high cost, through I did think of bending up my own lines. I...

    Air stuck on defrost

Yeah. worked for me. I tried everything. fuse thing did not work for me. But that actually did it. Some of the other right ups was not very clear as to what position to turn key to. If you do it properly, HVAC does not kick on so it should not matter if you have it on or not. Let us know how...

    Very lost, need help!

Sounds like you have a short somewhere in that turn signal lever. It does do a lot. I would try taking it out and examining the wiring for any damaged/shorted wires. If you can't find anything, get a replacement. You may also check under dash for any tampering of wires/harnesses by previous...

    Interior Lights Dont Work

Good. Glad it was a simple fix. I would hate to have to fix the issue if it wasn't that button. BTW, it helps to read the manual... and I say that not having read it all myself and still discovering things a year into ownership. These trucks are REALLY complicated; there are so many little...

Where does Rubber piece go when Reinstalling rear quarter interior panel, over heater

I am currently reinstalling rear quarter interior panel, over heater/ac assembly after fixing the rear heat. When I took the rear quarter panel, a rectangular (more or less) piece of rubber fell out. it seemed to have been glued somewhere. Can't seem to figure out where it went. I though it...

    Interior Lights Dont Work

There is a little button on the light controls, left of steering wheel to turns off interior lights. It is practical to have when you are leaving doors open and don't want to run battery down. Make sure it is set to on. I assume you mean got the truck back from service? or did you just buy it?

    fuel filter

All vehicles have fuel filters. Sorry, never taken it apart. But you may want to describe your issue better. If it is locked up due to rust, then i would spray with penetrating oil and let is soak overnight.

    Rear Climate Control Aspirator

Would this help? http://chevroletforum.com/forum/tahoe-suburban-25/noisy-aspirator-2005-suburban-37413/ If you can't find here, you may want to look outside... google search. It seems like it is a common problem. I wonder if my 04 has one?

Rear heat in 2001 tahoe not working

You must not have heater core installed in rear. interesting. But I would imagine that there is some kind of ducts going to rear from front to supply heat, controlled by front. If this is the case, then there should be a blend door that may not be working properly, or that is obstructed?

    Rear Climate Control Aspirator

Just curious, what is the aspirator?? EDIT: never mind. found it here: http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/f63/how-replace-auto-climate-control-aspirator-gmt800-chevrolet-tahoe-1468/ I was not aware of this in my truck. I know that the ducts near the actuators have temp sensors (2) that go...

    Heater issue

tsuintx, Look at my thread: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66001 It explains the calibration steps that worked for me in detail. Heater issue

Could be your blend door that is not opening/closing all the way to allow heat. Try calibrating the actuators first. If that does not work, pull rear quarter trim panel and see if actuators actually moving. The heater core should be getting hot no matter what.

    Gas Guage

do a search for stepper motor. It is a tiny motor that is soldered to the gauge circuit board. To get to it, you need to take cluster out of truck, then take cluster completely apart down to circuit board. Really not hard to do if you are comfortable taking things apart.

Alum GM wheels- clear coat damage

So at areas that clearcoat is damaged, can you just polish it to prevent oxidation? I would rather not have to completely strip and re-coat. That would be too much work. I would probably try to sand and just fix the areas first. What is the coating on there from factory?

Alum GM wheels- clear coat damage

So I have a 2004 Tahoe z71 with factory aluminum wheels. They are generally in good shape, but there are a few areas where clear coat is damaged and pealing, and alum is oxidizing. How have people dealt with this? I did quick search and not found much. thanks.
