I have a 2003 Yukon SLT with the sunroof. Every once in a while when it rains really hard or I wash it, the sunroof leaks. It is not a bad leak but it sits on the inside trim of the sunroof and drips on the passenger and driver seats. Is there anything I can do to fix this besides taking it to the dealership to get a new sunroof gasket?

Your drains may be clogged. Its a common problem. You can try opening the roof, and pouring some water down all 4 drains to make sure the water exits

they are like the drains around the house... good to clean out once or twice a year to prevent flooding.

They are on each corner of the sunroof frame. Open the sunroof, kneel on your console (depending on your weight) and look up in there. You'll see 4 small holes. Those are the drains.

if you can't see them, they are probably hidden by dirt. Time for good cleaning. If i remember right, they are small 1/4" holes.

What is the cleaning procedure for drains you can only see the opening of and is only a 1/4"? Is it typically just clean the initial opening and then the rest is good? Just use something like a toothpick and dig it out?

It usually clogs right at the opening of the drain. Use a small screwdriver or shoot some LIGHT air down them. If you use too much air pressure, it will disconnect the hose from the sunroof frame. Then you'd need to drop the headliner to reattach.

Also try using a coat hanger wire.
