Homelink question
So I was about to set up home link and had a question. If your car is parked in your driveway could someone smash a window and open the garage door? Does homelink always stay active even if the key is not in the vehicle or the vehicle is locked? We have a 2004 Tahoe. -

I've never seen this under oil fill cap
Yeah... its bad. I had that problem on another truck. What did the oil look like when you drained it out? If it has a real bad smell, or looks milky, clear sign of water/coolant in oil. Also, what does your exhaust look like? If oil looks ok, you can have your oil lab tested. I have never done...- Red Rider

I noticed the other day that on my 2004 tahoe, on the switch to go from 2h, to 4L and 4H, and Auto, The backlighting on the 4L and 4H no longer work. I think the LED works showing what setting you are in. But at night, i can't see the 4L and 4H. Anyone else have this issue? -

brake performance rotors rusted out in 3 months.
BTW, if you paint them, you void the warranty. I did that with a caliper i bought. They immediately started leaking. So i brought them back. They said "no can do". I had to take all the paint off before they would accept it back. That was AdvancedAuto. -

No way you can clean that with a brush. Just sand blast them. High temp paint?? Don't you need caliper paint? I never had much luck with plain high temp paint. Or maybe that was with exhaust :) -

No Rear Heat
I think the DTCs would be read only on certain readers. I doubt your average code reader would pull any specific GM codes. If you have a Tech-2, might work for you. When I had rear issue, i had no trouble/engine light come on. But Don't know if a GM code would trigger this. Maybe a message on... -

ISGM655 for 2004 tahoe- Bluetooth and phone integration
U Should be able to upgrade from USB port. If they are willing to swap it out, I would try that next. Are you sure you did not damage any other wires? That unit is a PITA to reinstall due to limited space. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- Red Rider

Have you changed the controller yet? If you have not, i would suspect this is your issue. There should not be any air flowing through the vents during calibration. If you do, you are doing it wrong and have it in the wrong position in the ignition switch (key). When it calibrates, it will... -

Hey tsuintx, the actuators were actually installed when you did the calibration? I have not yet (hopefully will never) messed with the front of the truck, but I would imagine it is similar to rear. Did you try doing a second calibration? the first time i did mine, only one of the actuators... -

I would start at the obvious.. fuses. You could have a bad fuse that is causing some issues. Just use two mag light holder clips. But frankly I would be nervous to have my plate so easily removable. Getting it stolen would be a pain.
