    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

Although almost completely opposite of my build, I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. Your previous build posts were very helpful in highlighting areas I had to watch for clearance with my quest for almost 35's (315/70R17).

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

So my wife left me home, unsupervised this evening. I went the the garage to poke around a bit and maybe probe a couple LCM pins, before making myself dinner. She came home around 7:30pm, while I was still in the garage, dropped off the all weather floor liners she got me for Christmas, laughed...

    Better Lighting

I find headlight performance on my 2023 Yukon variable, both high and low beams. When everything is dry, the reach is quite good, but if the roads are wet, they're nearly invisible. I think it's due to the color / spectrum of the LED lights. I've partially installed (temporary wiring) a set of...

360 Camera & Camera Views available during driving

I believe my 2023 can access the cameras at any time and I have to manually exit out of a camera view. It might be a US vs Canadian market thing.

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

I feel I'm getting closer to figuring this out after studying the schematics for a couple evenings. I'm attempting add driving lights activated with high beams, aux reverse lights activated with reverse lights and additional cargo area / rear hatch lights activated with the cargo area light...

2024 Yukon XL AT4 W/ Air Ride Suspension- Tire Fitment

Ask if you have any specific questions. Basically remove the mudflap bracket behind the fender liner and 1 screw per side to hold back the liner. The fitment is very tight but does not rub at normal ride height. It did rub backing out of parking spots when using the easy entry / exit mod while...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

Check out https://www.gmupfitter.com/body-builder-manuals/ for schematics and connector tables. For instance there is a system schematic for the headlights and another for the for lights. Both reference lighting control module (K219). Later in the document there is a table describing the...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

At least on the 2022+ Sierra, the fog lights are powered by a single pin (X1-6) from the lighting control module. BA is using the left front parking light power (X1-1) to power both fog lights through their jumper, which is likely a diode (directional). The Yukon uses separate pins (on...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

I don't use the auto high beams. I find it leaves the high beams on where I would normally dim them, doublely so if my driving lights are tied into the high beams. I'll post my findings and eventual solution here, but I don't plan to explore the auto high beam function.

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

I followed your thread on the using the current sensing switch, and may follow your path if I can't come up with a physically switched trigger. Did you investigate this wire between the high beam switch and BCM? I'm planning to probe it tomorrow to determine what voltage the BCM is feeding it...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

There appear to be 2 wires from the high beam switch to the BCM (flash to pass and high beams, both active low). I'm not sure if the high beam is a momentary or continuous ground. assuming it is a continuous ground, it will be fairly straightforward to trigger a couple opto-isolators or SSRs...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

These are driving pattern, reach without the amber covers is about the same as the factory high beams, a bit less with the covers installed. I aligned them with the grill support so they point to the side slightly. They are a much broader and taller pattern than the headlights, which is great...

315/70R17 (35's) with no lift - fitment observations

Just a quick update regarding this fitment. I've enable the easy entry / exit mode while visiting my mother for Christmas. I'm rubbing the front of the wheel liner when backing out of parking spaces and turning sharply. It's easy to trim / pull the liner forward in this location and hasn't been...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

They're just wired to a switch temporarily. I haven't decided how to tap the high beam signal yet, and was pressed for time when installing these. I tapped the high beam fuse on my old truck and have a CANswitch on my motorcycle, neither are applicable to the new Yukon. I'll try to grab a...

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

I only have this photo. I fabricated a couple "Z" shaped brackets from 1/8" wall square tube and screwed into the lower grill support with self tapping sheet metal screws. I would have preferred a more robust attachment (such as rivnuts) but they've held up fine for 1500 miles.

Rigid SAE Fog Lights as DRLs (23 Denali)

I watched one of M&R Automotive's videos before pulling the grill on my AT4 to install Dually XL lights. https://www.youtube.com/@MandRautomotive Wheel liner removal isn't too complicated (just time consuming) and can be done without removing the wheels and gives access to the fog lights. I...

315/70R17 (35's) with no lift - fitment observations

I think a smaller 35x12.5 (true 34.5 or 34.6" tall), with a rounded shoulder profile, would fit at stock height on a 9" wide, +18ET wheel, without cutting metal. I have some clearance behind the tire (to frame surrounding the body mount). I have no clearance in front of the tire but that's all...

    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

Check the actual dimensions of the tires you are considering. I'm clearing 315/70R17 with a fender pullback (back side only), +18ET and no lift. The tires measure 34.5x12.7, IIRC.

315/70R17 (35's) with no lift - fitment observations

I was only able fit bits and pieces of information about fitting 35" tires on a 2021+ Tahoe / Yukon before purchasing my wheel and tire package, so hopefully this helps someone else make a more informed decision. I have a 2023 Yukon AT4 with air ride and power steps. While this should be...

Wheel fitment vs brake caliper? (and 35's with no lift!!!)

315/70R17 Hakkapeliitta LT3, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Okay, I'm a little bit excited these fit and will require far less work than I anticipated to prevent rubbing. And while I know it's not everyone's style, the appearance is exactly what I hoped for (minus the rusty chrome lug...

Wheel fitment vs brake caliper? (and 35's with no lift!!!)

So I picked up my KMC Technic (17x8.5 +18ET) Friday evening and prioritized at least test fitting them today, anticipating it would only be a test fit because even if the wheels fit, the tires wouldn't. Right? The wheels are really tight to the front calipers, both to the barrels and the...

Wheel fitment vs brake caliper? (and 35's with no lift!!!)

The KMC website also indicates they fit. I'll update the thread in a couple weeks when I get them.

Wheel fitment vs brake caliper? (and 35's with no lift!!!)

No, lots of people running 17's on these trucks, even the factory spare is a 17. It's just known that some 17" wheels clear the front calipers and others don't (or don't without spacers), particularly factory 17's from the earlier generation trucks. FWIW, Tire Rack shows all 3 wheels fitting...

Wheel fitment vs brake caliper? (and 35's with no lift!!!)

Is anyone running KMC Mesa, Technic or Motegi Trailite wheels in 17” +18mm offset without spacers? I’ve narrowed down my winter setup to one of these wheels and am trying to confirm brake caliper clearance before ordering. Thanks, Jeff
