    50K Mile Update

I think most when categorizing a vehicle on whether or not it's well liked, I would think reliability would be the first item listed. IMO, that would remove it from the "better vehicle on the market" idea. 70k miles on our 15 SLT and I have a list 3x the list you have. And stupid me, I'm...

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

yeah, the initial fix was to replace entire column but they since figured out it's just a spring and bearing that's easily replaceable vs the whole column. My dealer told me they've had trucks come back after replacing the column as it was not the issue. However, I even think replacing the...

Does new 2018 YUKON still have the vibration issue?

of course you'll have a softer ride with 18 or 20" wheels but I've read over the past 2yrs of folks with 18s having the buffeting and vibration problems as well. 22s may make it more pronounced but I think the consensus is going smaller doesn't eliminate the real problem with those affected trucks.

Help Please: 2015 Yukon XL Test Drive

it's when truck is all closed up...and I don't believe it's an actual air leak as much as it's a very similar sound/feeling has having a rear(only) window down. Ours did/does it in the 40mph range and then again around 60mph-65mph. A deep ear pressure feeling. And it seems to not affect all...

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

Great! Thanks again. what gets me is why in the hell are the 17s lumped into this TSB. Does this mean the spring/bearing will go again in another 20k miles? crazy

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

thanks. Interesting...I've always thought our wheel never really moved that smoothly compared to other vehicles. I'm ording the parts now and will hopefully finally end the ticking popping that I've grown accustom to the last 12mos. Do the upper and lower plastic covers on column easily pop...

Help Please: 2015 Yukon XL Test Drive

It think it's still an unknown, however, I haven't heard many complaints with the 17s. It's more common with the burbs and XLs but the tahoe & yukon have the issue as well.

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

awesome. Pretty straightforward after figuring out airbag release. DId you use a standard GM wheel puller? And do you have the updated TSB? THanks!

wow, good to know. Do you know if it requires a standard GM wheel puller to remove steering wheel?

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

So is yours doing the same as the video? I thought you meant it's related directly to the mechanics of the powered system. I get what you're saying. Maybe the bearing spring seat setup is different with the powered units? Please keep us posted. I plan to tackle this as well, just haven't...

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

Yes, that's it... I thought I iposted the actual GM TSB but I don't see it. I'll post it again here in a few minutes. how do you know it's related to the pwr column? Is it the tick click type sound when making slow turns...like turning into a parking spot?

Popping in steering column with slow turns - DENALI ONLY

It's not just a Denali issue. Other models have the pwr column, although I don't think that has anything to do with it. And typically the entire column does not need to be replaced. I started having the issue around 40k miles with our 15. I have yet to replace the parts as indicated in a...

Help Please: 2015 Yukon XL Test Drive

the hwy buffeting (basically ear pressure) typically starts around 45-50mph and then again around 60mph. booming is at low speeds.

Switching out the wood interior panels?

^^where did you find these pieces? I am not aware of the gray look. If you purchased from ebay, they are pre production and never ended up being oem option.

    2018 model year web page

I agree...it's too busy looking with a cheesy/cheap appearance. While I like the 17pre grille, it is getting old and is in need of an update. I just don't think the 18 is it.

Would you buy your Yukon/Tahoe again?

I was aware of it before we purchased and thought it would be something I'd always be aware of and it hasn't one bit(2yrs now).

Would you buy your Yukon/Tahoe again?

yes they are...and are great if you want non support lazy boy feel (those days are over). I am one that prefers the firmer euro style. THey were okay but i didn't care for the pillow feel over time with our previous yukons and suburbans.

    2018 RST tahoe/burb

what brand of vinyl did he use and did you go with gloss or matte finish? I feel like matte might hide any imperfection or scratches nicks over time.

Would you buy your Yukon/Tahoe again?

I would agree with this as I did notice when I was in a family members '17 SLT Premium that the jet black leather seats were definitely softer feeling than our 2015 and other 16s I've been in. The cushion felt more plush. Design is obviously the same and the subtle change probably wouldn't be...

Would you buy your Yukon/Tahoe again?

^This is promising as we consider trading our 15 for maybe a 17 SLT or Denali XL.
