@ Louis, thanks for your response, but I have also seen posts about this being related to the slip yoke needing to be greased and in some cases replaced with a nickle plated slip yoke. Can you comment? Thanks- jimmyj

2007 Tahoe LTZ "Clunking" Noise
I hear a "clunking" noise sometimes when putting into gear from park and almost always hear when going from 2-3 gear. It is not very loud, but just annoying. Have had it to the dealer and trans, U-joints, etc all good! Just took it to the UP Michigan for 400 mile trip pulling 24 foot trailer...- jimmyj

2007 Tahoe LTZ
I have a "clunking" noise when I go into gear, mostly reverse, but I can also hear it when the vehicle shifts from 2nd to 3rd. Had it looked at by dealer. U joints, trans, everything ok. All fluids changed and everything serviced. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks. Just want to get it...- jimmyj
