    Gas mileage

Good info, but I bet a GPS is a whole lot more accurate than the odometer on a vehicle with non-standard tire size.

I agree; scum of the earth are car dealers followed closely by lawyers... Btw, nice avatar!

2 new IAC and idle still is not right.

Every IAC I've replaced required a "cal" procedure be done after installation... does this one? There is a cheating way that involves a specific order of operations similar to turn key on unplug IAC turn key off plug back in but I can't remember the order.

    Gas mileage

HOW are you getting the number of miles you drove between fill-ups? From your odometer? Did you get your speedometer recalibrated when you changed tire size? If not your odometer readings are completely useless. So your calculated mileage is just as worthless. The only way to get good numbers is...

    Smoke at start up

If I had to guess (I don't have a lot of experience with this particular engine) worn valve guides leaking a little oil into the cylinders. When it's running the minuscule amount getting through is continually being burned off. But when it sits enough accumulates to make a noticeable cloud right...

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

It may be... the cheap price is shipped and sold by a 3rd party vendor, the ~$10/qt price is shipped and sold by amazon. The 3rd party vendor probably only puts so many up at a time and when they're gone it reverts back to offereing the ones shipped/sold by amazon. I'm guessing my order of 24...

Anybody in the north treat for rust?

Ah, ok, that makes sense... A little too much effort for my liking but if you have the time go for it!!! IIRC, you can get the same active ingredient as naval jelly in a liquid form (forget what it's called) that will spray on, but the you have to clean really good because it gets down in...

    Transmission fluid and filter recomendations

The quarts of Dex-VI full synthetic (10-9243) came back in-stock at the $4.09 price again (not free shipping) so I grabbed 24 of them and they're now showing out of stock again. Total with shipping $137.08 gives me a final cost of $5.71/qt...

2005 Yukon XL - Puddle Light lens part 2 ... CLEAR!!

I must know, what is the eagle-eyes for the puddle light?

    Gas mileage

There are at least 3 factory gear ratios available. GU6=3.42, GT4=3.73, GT5=4.10 Also, you didn't answer the question about how you're calculating mileage. As stated, with an oversize tire, unless you reprogram for that tire size you are physically travelling more miles than your odometer...

    Denali - no clutch fan

05 was when e-fans replaced the clutch fan. All is well with your setup. Water pump replacement should be easier bc of this. Water pump is the same part I think; you just skip the step of removing fan shroud and fan.

Anybody in the north treat for rust?

Naval jelly is not an inhibitor, it's an acidic converter. Putting it on your frame and leaving it could cause more harm than good. Don't the instructions say to remove it after it has converted the rust?

    Best brake upgrades

If by "they all" you mean 1500s after 2008 I think you may be right but prior to that it was all over the map... it's like gm engineers just picked the flavor of the day on brakes...

    Best brake upgrades

From my understanding, 2013 style is one of the casting number options it's asking you when looking at 07/08. According to the chart adriver posted that would be the calipers that use the 1363 pad. According to 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 on rockauto, both the 1092 pad (and matching calipers) and the...

Master cylinder to proportioning valve hoses

I've got a yard "back home" I go to when I visit family. Not big but he has 4 vehicles similar to mine, I use him for lots of parts. I would happily pull and ship to you. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be going to visit family until March, which doesn't really help you if you have a leak now...

    Best brake upgrades

Photos of brake parts? What are you trying to differentiate/see? There is a sticky on the GMT900 brake upgrade that has lots of good photos. If you want photos of the Raybestos parts, give me a few weeks. I have new winter tires coming and I'll snap some pics when I have the wheel off. Otherwise...

That's a single assembly with the hard line isn't it? If so, it should be easy to find that part... you may have to go to the dealer...

A leak on the parking brake passenger side

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/MGR-12479285 When I bought them they were $96 each and Summit was running a "buy $250 get $25 off, buy $500 get $50 off" promo. With all the seals, bearings, new Eaton True-Trac diff, etc I had $750+ in parts so I placed 2 orders, 1 just over $500 and the...

    Best brake upgrades

I just did the gmt900 upgrade. Interestingly the "gmt900" fronts also cross reference to 05-06 1500 trucks w/ rear drum brakes... I didn't know that until I was looking at applications charts. So far I'm super happy!! I used all Raybestos including their brand new optical calipers (lifetime...

Don't know, new axles at $90 each is cheap insurance that I won't have to tear it apart again.

    Shock for 02 yukon?

I don't think it's that rare. At least not in the later models. Not sure if the novelty of the nivomat wore off but I don't see many later models (04-06) with nivomat and I've never seen a long wheelbase later year with them.

    Shock for 02 yukon?

Front shocks are standard shocks on your vehicle.

A leak on the parking brake passenger side

I can't help with the spider gears but I'll respond to this for future information of others. It's likely the seals have a groove worn in the axle. The seal pulls the axle back into place. You have to forcefully push the axle in and hold it. I used a ratchet strap hooked on something (trailing...

    Shock for 02 yukon?

Fyi, following inquisition thread a while back, I'm quite certain it's the g65 that means nivomat... g65 is "manual self-adjusting suspension". I have zw7 but no g65 and mine does not have nivomat. Every scrapyard vehicle I've seen with nivomat had the g65 RPO code. The op also has g65 so he...

Will these Tires fit 2000 Tahoe?

The premium wheel/tire combo had p265/70r17 tires so p275/70r17 are sure to fit as they would only be slightly wider and slightly taller than stock "premium " tires. As stated 2012 tpms sensors won't work...
