Not on the ones I have. Maybe those were aftermarket? I, too, thought about the alternate bolt holes on the side rails. To me, the whole setup is not very beefy (good enough for 2 kayaks but not going to be hauling 10 sheets of plywood up there). So, I use the cross rail and loop around that. If... -

Okay, so this is just my opinion but, if the kid is too young to sit forward-facing, they probably don't need a DVD playing. That said... You could mount one of your handy little cameras to the front of the DVD player and stream it to a screen in front of the kid, Or, For the (relatively)...- dbbd1

When I bought mine (used), the rainsense didn't work either. GM was no help, they wouldn't even check their end of things due to an aftermarket windshield (bastidges!). I went home and took off the covers, played with the sensor placement and got it working (I kept checking with a garden hose)...- dbbd1
