    Oxygen Sensors Help

unnecessary Good thing some people actually like to help others instead of laughing at them. Not sure if you have posted helpful remarks in the past, but honestly, your remark is disappointing. Please don't take the time to laugh and mock when one is trying to learn. Thank you.

    Bubbling and peeling paint problem

Hmm....seems odd to have built both. Must have been a material pricing or processing issue....very strange. Anyway, thanks for the info.

    Bubbling and peeling paint problem

Aren't all your gates aluminum? Mine has some bubbles on the underside at the bottom, out of sight, but I thought is was rust starting. After I took the panel off to spray the entire inside with fluid film did I find out on this site the gates are aluminum. checked mine and sure enough, mine is...

    Side panels

One of my rear door molding came loose a bit on the end towards the rear of the truck. Eventually I decided to take it off to redo it. Good thing. Out poured I bet a cup of water. Just great. The door is ok, but I'm not so hip on my moldings now, they are the larger stock ones, since it seems...

Anti-Seize on Lug Studs, yay, or nay?

use antiseize Anti seize is not anti torque. I've used it on my car wheels for years and never an issue. Your wheel won't just "fall off" without you knowing it. If anti seize has you worried then put motor oil on the studs....but be careful since that slippery lug might allow the nut to come...

    Heater Core Hose Connectors

If your plastic fittings are discolored on the right side (driver side) I'd replace it right away. Lots of roadside breakdown stories on this site from the plastic failing....which led me to look at mine.....and replace it. I feel much better now. :)

    blend door issues

I hope this will help someone: Mine blew defrost only...nothing else....temp control worked but flow direction did not. Fixed it doing two things. 1. Pulled 2 hvac fuses as mentioned on this site. Removed actuator just above gas pedal area. Opened it up. Found a gear split radially. Removed...

    Heater Core Hose Connectors

I just replaced my quick connector on the right side last week. Hated to put on plastic but could not find a different way. The core line isn't threaded and I spent too much time messing with different options with no true solution that would have been better without plastic. Hose wasn't long...

    Heater Core Hose Connectors

How does this work? Isn't the heater core end an unthreaded male ? Curious on this....and then u need to tie in the rear lines as well... Any pics?

How to change the Fuel Filter

Weird thing is that's what I did....I loosened it and then tightened it back up...but got continual draining..... So the answer is to NOT touch the gas cap???? According to a post above...

How to change the Fuel Filter

So I got the relay pulled, started engine and it killed right away. Loosened the gas cap and opened the fuel lines up and fuel came out and never stopped. It was as if the tank was just slowly emptying via the rear line. Couldn't figure why....made this a pain to do. Why oh why would it...

    The infamous oil leak

If a tech can do the rear main in an hour then I expect these jobs are grossly overpriced. I can't recall prices I have read on it, but since it is a dreaded repair bill it must be a hefty charge. If so, then why wouldn't it cost 100 or so to fix a rear main? Must be a nice padding in these jobs...

    Oil sending unit?

I have an issue with my gage as well. How can you determine if it is the stepper motor or the sending unit? Don't want to just start replacing parts unnecessarily.

    2003 Yuk Transmission Fluid Change

I have done a ton of reading on car sites and trans fluid changes. The general consensus is that if it has never been changed and the mileage is high you should change only a small amount at a time and then give the trans time to adjust. Go easy on it this way until all of it is changed. Be sure...

    Rear end noise

to Sunlit: Are you asking me about my tires? They were on there when I got it. They are fairly new and for what its worth, they are General (stx?) from Walmart. Cheap, I know, and maybe that IS my problem.

    Rear end noise

Thks for your replies. The sound doesn't go away coasting or in neutral. I didn't mean to confuse. It really never goes away unless I spin the rears on snow. But then when I let up it comes back. SometimesI can get it to subside in figure eights but don't know exactly how to repeat it. I got...

    Rear end noise

So is my issue leaning diff or wheel bearing or hard to know at this point? I will def get under and pull on it like you stated. If it is loose, how much would a shop charge or is it something a diy could do?

    Rear end noise

I also have what I think is a rear end noise. Kind of groaning or growling or like to some extent I am driving on rumble strips. It changes with speed, is there accelerating or decelerating, drive or neutral, forward or reverse, very noticeable when decelerating from around 30mph, tends to be...

Front axle seal leaking - how do I replace?

axle seal for a newb Hi all, I am new to four wheel drive and a 2001 yukon I recently bought. The pass front axle seal is leaking and it *likely* needs an outer tie rod and maybe a wheel bearing. Not quite sure on them yet. I have not done front end work and yet it appears after...
