Paint protectant
Agreed. Definitely not a must either IMO. If you want to spring for paint protection you would be better served going to a pro detailer. My guy did paint protection film on the hood, front quarters, entire front end, and mirrors and a ceramic coating on the whole vehicle. Pics are in the thread... -
Aftermarket wheels
I took a few as it looks really different from slightly different angles. Hard to describe. I would describe the sidewall as dead on flush with the widest part of the fender but from slightly away from the side it looks stanced. -

There are people running that size on the AT4 Facebook group but about half are reporting rubbing. Another factor is with the Ridge Grapplers and a lot of M/Ts the shoulder lugs are more squared off and larger than the stock Wrangler ATs. Those blocky shoulders are what is scrubbing some.- tabraha

Our new 2021 Suburban /w Duramax diesel
OK, not gonna lie I'd upgrade my 21 AT4 for a L5P AT4 in a heartbeat! The ease of which my L5P pulls my 5th wheel across the Rockies and Bighorns is ridiculous. Also, sluggishness may be when it is doing a regen. That can sap some power and while the L5P has power to spare the baby-dmax doesn't...- tabraha

On #1 I agree the dealer never did the setup on their end and you still need to do your welcome call probably. #2 sounds like the dealer needs to check for a firmware update but that one is weird that all sources are affected once you plug the phone in. That one may take some new hardware...- tabraha

AT4 Gas Mileage
I'm pretty solidly 17-19mpg. For the most part I put 24.x gallons in and can expect ~450mi out of that. I drive a fair amount of secondary roads, but I also see 4-hi once or twice a week lately it seems. Not alot of urban stop and go. Posted a bunch more pics in my vehicle specific thread but I put on Fuel Rebel 18x9 +1 offset rims with 275/70R18 Ridge Grapplers this weekend. Really makes the AT4 package look substantial. So for those who were curious 18's will clear the calipers easily. Just to my eyeball you may be... -

Would depend on the % of overall diameter change with your particular tire. Throw Waze up on the screen and see how it compares at 70 or 80 on the interstate and then decide. -

So on regular height, no rub on full lock to the left, on full lock to the right it barely kisses the wheel well. I feel confident I could work that out with a heat gun but it's so slight I'm not too worried about it. It only brushes it on absolute full lock. Driver front @ full lock...- tabraha

Well, well, well, had a pallet of goodness waiting on me last Wednesday when I got home. Put a package together with Custom Offsets the week of Christmas. Went with Fuel Rebel D681 18x9's and Nitto Ridge Grappler 275/70R18's. Trucks not clean but oh well. Here's pics LOL. Had to math my way...- tabraha

Denali or AT4
The AT4 is way less common than the Denali which is kinda fun. (Rare being relative for these mass produced vehicles.) It can be well optioned with the Premium Plus package and a few other boxes checked. The look is unique, outside and inside and the approach angle is way better. That last part...- tabraha

There’s a ton of noise in this thread but if I’m understanding correctly your engine has no issues right now you are just fearful it will have a valve spring issue? The GM having it 30 days was for something else?- tabraha

Thanks and I agree they did a good job pointing out how decent the active 4wd/ eLSD combo is on it. That will be a killer combo if it comes to fruition. Hard to believe they didn't think about the baby d-max when designing the front fascia's for the off-road minded versions. 2023MY sounds...- tabraha

Just got it back from getting paint protection film installed up front. Turned out really nice. Checked with my detail guy back in early November when the AT4 came in and the kit was not out yet for the AT4 front end.
