I e had this truck for about 5 months but I just drive around town so far. I’d like to pull a small trailer but I noticed it is sometimes sluggish from take off. Started to take off faster lately to test things out. At one point last week I got a check engine. Engine would dog out then...
Thanks guys. I don’t understand he cancer thing. How can it come back if it is completely cut out? If that’s the case is it even worth it to try to fix it?
If I cut the damage out and weld or bondo will it at least slow the progression? Is there any paint rust converter or process...
I was washing the White 2004 Denali today and noticed rust behind the back passenger side step
Is there a way to remove the plastic and do a diy repair?
I have a 2004 white Denali that looks great from 6-8 feet away. The paint is pretty shiny but has a lot of cracking when you look up close. The cracks show much more when it is dirty. What is the best way to slow the degradation of the old paint? Just wash? Best wax or proc as for the...
I’ e been keeping them at about 35 for general travel, 50 for light trailer and 95 for a heavy trailer. Still testing. Not sure in the long run if I’ll need different springs or the coil air bags but I’m good for short trips and general travel
I purchased the Curt 13422 from Amazon and it fits well. It’s a bit different than stock so I’m still working out how to mount the 7 pin connector. Overall I’m happy so far with it.
My 2004 Denali xl had a rusted hitch. Figured it would be easy to replace but it seems the Denali trim provides issues. I purchased a Reese 51201 but it did not have the bolts into the bumper, did not have a mount for the electric connector and did not fit between the bumper cover cutout. I...
I fixed the connection and air hoses for the existing shocks. Now it holds air. I was at 0 but I believe they can be adjusted between 0-150 I don’t know the shock brand or model but it lifts and stiffens up the back a good bit with 75 lbs..
I’m good to go now but I’d just like guidance on...
I cleaned the MAF sensor and reset codes. A week later I’m still good but a week later I replaced it because I’m at 160k and I had already ordered a new one. Good to go and also have the old one for an emergency spare
Thanks for the help everyone
The old pump is bad, There is a fill valve that was incorporated into the rear license plate mount. I believe they are not the original shocks. Air only, no electrical connector on the shock. Hose from each shock goes to a Y connector and terminates with a fill valve at the rear license...
I've been reading a lot but I not quite sure how to determine the best options or what is actually on the truck now.
It looks just fine and rides well but there are airshocks in the back with a manual fill (no auto pump). Is this setup ok? With airshocks should it have heaver springs than...
My recently acquired 2004 Yukon Denali xl has replacement airshocks in the back. I connected a trailer and the back sagged a lot.
Should the rear springs have been replaced with the new airshocks? If so, how do I check what spring is in the truck? can simply put more air in the shocks? How...
No lights but I’m not sure how much air is good in the rear shocks for specific conditions. My son moved his small camper around in the yard and he said the back was almost too low to tow. Are the aftermarket air shocks made to level a suspension?
The truck is at 160,000. Body is rust free. Hitch and rear bumper area was fairly rusty. I’m replacing the hitch and scraping/painting that area.
MAP sensor p0100 - should I just replace it or should I try to test it first?
Suspension - Stabiltrak and load leveling suspension has been...
Last week I picked up my first Yukon. I’ve driven a KIA minivan for 10plus years and it finally died. I typically hang on to cars too long and my wife felt I had an unhealthy attachment to the mini van. I liked something that could replace the versitality of the mini van but could also tow...
