Hey guys
Does anyone know how many lbs of r134 the PPV's take? I believe all of them do not have the separate rear AC controls.
I've found numbers anywhere from 1.6lbs to 2.7lbs, not sure what to follow.
Thanks!
Hey TYF,
I been running my AC more and more now that its getting hotter, but now when I pull into a parking spot I can see a trail of AC condensation dripping. Is this normal?
I know some water is normal on all AC systems but I've never had a car leave a trail of AC condensation as it goes...
my PPV also has carpet and came from NC. no cracked dash either, though I paid a bit more for it.
what did you end up doing about the holes on the rear hatch? still taped up?
Hey guys
About 3 months into ownership and I've got a few loose ends I want to tie up soon before it gets too hot o_O
1) AC fan seems weak, from my understanding the 07-14's do not have a cabin filter to get clogged correct? Is the next step to replace the blower motor / resistor? I will also...
yes you are correct there is no switched power you can easily tap into on these trucks.
you can however do this:

would you guys recommend a trans tune for a well maintained tahoe with 165k miles? it seems to shift at the worst times when going up hills, will a tune fix this?
Thanks for the input. I believe the windshield was replaced by the previous owner. I also get some wind noise when the car is at freeway speeds.
In order to check for the windshield seal, I assume I have to remove the cowl?
Also my truck does not have a sunroof, so no sunroof drains to clog...
Hey guys,
I've noticed recently after it rains that my drivers side floormat gets wet. I peeled back the carpet / side molding and found water in the channel that runs down the side of the car as well as the felt sound deadening.
I've done some searching and it seems like it points to the door...
Hey guys,
About to roll 170k in a few months, would like to prepare for regular maintenance.
I came across this list: https://www.driverside.com/service-schedule/detailview/chevrolet-tahoe-2007-4994-12286-32424&mileage=170000
Is there anything that should be added? Do the timing chain...
Its not a bad job (there are how-to vids on youtube), make sure you get the proper plastic trim tools ($10 bucks on amazon).
If you do happen to break a door clip, dont buy it from the dealer. They want $5 a clip. You can get 20 clips for $5 bucks on eBay :)
Anyone have a good source on these for the 07-14 Tahoes? Mine has seen better days and I would like to replace it.
Mine has seen better days, but it seems like they run 50-60 bucks for just the rear. For other year models I can find them on eBay for a lot cheaper.
Are there any cross platform...
I believe the DELCO# 540-460 is for non-autoride tahoes (which ppv's are I believe). Autoride was only found in LTZ's. Dont quote me, but it makes sense as to why the other struts are so expensive.
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I was kind of concerned about the area right below the door with the cutout. Can't really dynamat a flat piece over it because of the plastic bracket / housing on the door panel itself.
Hey guys
Doing an audio install today. Found this wire tucked in the A pillar not hooked to anything.
Does anyone know what it goes to? Its part of the same harness that powers the tweeters, but doesn't go to the tweeters.
Its a single pin red wire with a white stripe.
Any ideas?
Thanks
