Orange spots on white vehicle. How to remove?

Brushed car washes will scratch your car. Please don’t do it.

Orange spots on white vehicle. How to remove?

As others stated, clay bar is the answer. I saw this all the time as a detailer at a Honda dealership. The explanation I was given is that it happened while the cars sat at a rail yard during transport and that it was the rust dust from the trains.

    Engine warranty?

I went the route of GMEPP on my last two trucks. I shopped around on pricing. I bought the most recent from Knapp. Their site will give you a quote. I bought the previous one from James Black Cadillac. Smooth purchase experience in both cases. My local Chevy dealer prefers Allstate service...

Production forgot to put my front splash guards on.

Some accessories are “dealer installed” even if you placed a custom order for your vehicle. That is likely the case here.

2019 5.3 smoking on cold start, exhaust smell in reverse through AC

I've noticed an exhaust smell through my vents when I back into the garage since I've had it. Yesterday I noticed it is pumping a small but not insignificant amount of blue smoke from the tailpipe on a cold start. Currently at 15K miles. I bought it Jan 2021 @ 9K miles. It is under b2b...

How Rare is your GM vehicle?

I don’t feel the need to pay $5 for a report I may or may not receive, but I’m pretty sure mine is pretty rare. I have what I think is a 2019-only color so it can’t even be duplicated in other MYs. LT 4x4 Deepwood Green Cocoa/dune Z71 Nav (wo Sun&Destination) Sunroof (wo Sun&Destination) And wo...

How many think the GMT 900 series is the best TAHOE/YUKON yet?

The esky was the only 900 that wasn’t fugly on the outside. The interiors are awful, IMO on all. The 800 had the most comfortable interior. I really miss the flip down arm rest and the way the middle bench folded. The 400 had the best looking exterior, excluding the esky/denali. I do like...

    Yukon vs Yukon xl

Obviously being able to test drive them back to back would be ideal. I have always been very comfortable driving something very large so I can’t exactly relate to what you’re feeling. I currently have a Tahoe and a crew cab 8 ft bed Silverado, both last gen. I have had a 2004 Suburban and a...

Mildew smell from A/C first couple minutes

The first couple minutes after starting my 19 Tahoe the AC smells like a wet basement. It’s generally garaged so it doesn’t sit in the sun much. The odor clears after a bit. This is the first summer I’ve owned it. Is there something I can clean/flush/check for a clog? There is no wet carpet...

(Another) New dude here with a new (2019) Z71 Tahoe!

I didn’t want to hijack the other thread, but I’m seeking similar advice as the similarly named thread… I have a bone stock 2019 Z71 (non-luxury package). The only options it has beyond LT Z71 is a sunroof and navigation. I’d like to improve its off-road worthiness. Not looking to do any rock...

Warranties available after extended warranty expires?

For various reasons I chose GMEPP. But FWIW, my dealer says they like Allstate’s plan the best.

    Who Bought Extended Warranty?

It is GMEPP that I bought through the dealer. I see the site says it is going mobile app only soon. I wonder if they just stopped uploading data recently on the website.

Which window deflectors are you using? Pros/Cons?

I couldn't seem to find any recent discussions about this for 2015-2020 models. I'd like to get some window deflectors installed so I can leave the windows cracked to keep the cabin heat down while parked. The "low profile" styles concern me in that I'm not sure I could roll them down enough...

What roadside assistance do you use?

In years past I have had it through my insurance company and some years through my cell phone plan. Not sure if cell companies still offer it.

Let's Ask This Question Another Way...

GM 2500 SUVs are hard to come by and demand premium $$$. Have you considered a Silverado 2500? They will be much more affordable. Throw a grandpa camper cap on the back and you have more storage than a suburban anyway.

    Who Bought Extended Warranty?

I just pulled the trigger on GMEPP Platinum $0 deductible for my 2019 Tahoe and my 2019 Silverado 3500 DMAX. As said above, they are useless until the b2b runs out, but of course that affects the cost. You can do the math on how many months/estimated miles you’re getting beyond b2b. I pulled...

    Towing questions

It has a round-ish 7-pin harness that plugs into the back of the truck? If so, that’s electric brakes. Find the setting that’s obviously too much then back off that setting by a couple or maybe three clicks. From there just play with a bit til it feels right. That’s really not a lot of weight...

    Trade 16 for 19?

Ignoring 4wd, if I understand, you’re getting: 3 years newer about 30k less miles newer fluids 3.42 gear ratio brake controller rear auto-level and lots of warranty While it’s not a slam dunk, I still think its worth it. Sounds like its only a question of value, not whether or not you can...

I say go for it. Even if you don’t need the 4wd, it should keep it’s residual value up so you’ll get some of that difference back later.

My tahoe and silverado both have cocoa/dune interiors and OEM floorliners. Silverado has cocoa liners, Tahoe has Dune liners. IMO the Cocoa looks much better.

    Cost of used Tahoes

In 2008 I bought a 2004 Suburban 2WD LS w/bose @74k miles for $13,400 USD. The housing market had crashed and gas was $4+/gal. A similar 4 year old suburban now is $31k+.

    Big guy....looking for measurments

I’m on the other end of the spectrum at 5’5” and 110 lbs, but I feel your struggle. I don’t think enough thought goes into cars generally to fit vast ranges of body types/sizes. For me it’s my (lack of) height that puts the controls/comforts out of reach. I find it pretty absurd since I’m the...
