2015 to 2020 Tahoe Fender Flares

Not directly to the point of the post... but looks like the Euro Tahoe also got the (larger) Escalade mirrors.

Mirror mirror, I can see you now cause I have Bigger Mirrors

Very interesting. These little mirrors drive me crazy. They seem straight off my 1989 Chevy Celebrity. Any compatibility to consider? Power fold, blind spot, etc. My LT Z71 has the most basic mirrors—no fold, no blind spot, no signal indicators. I wish they were bigger, power folded, and had...

    Towing a trailer

The 2018MY 6.2 is rated to tow about 1800 more lbs than the 5.3. Mechanically, the major differences from a 5.3 SLT with Max Tow to a 6.2 Denali are going to be engine, transmission, final drive ratio, and suspension. The Denali has a lower payload which tells me the suspension is not likely the...

    Thoughts on extended warranties

My 19 Tahoe (and 19 Silverado) are nearing the end of their b2b warranties. What do forum members think of extended warranty vs not getting one, or about one company/plan vs others? If it matters, I’m a very low mileage driver (esp w covid). I’d prob be looking for longer term and lower...

    2016 brownstone metallic tahoe

I think yellow pinstripe would go better with brownstone. And then maybe other accents in chevy blue. Kinda this theme:

    New from Sandpoint, ID..2015 Tahoe

Taylor Chevrolet? I just bought my Tahoe there. Can’t say I was impressed. But they had the used Tahoe I wanted.

    Starting to look...down to 2018, 2019 and 2020's

Carplay came much sooner than 2019, 2016 or maybe 2017. In Chevy flavor, only LTZ or Premier had ventilated seats. Not sure in GMC form. Google “autobytel build 2019 suburban” (or whatever year/model). They have a build configurator that you can play with and get a better idea of...

Best tires for a 2017 LT w/18" wheels?

^^^ This. Great highway tire for a half-ton chassis. And still feels truck enough when you need it to. I’ve had two sets of the older version—presuming the newer versions are as good/better.

    2020 sluggish throttle

To me the worst part of this "feature" is that it is super sensitive for the first 1% and then.... dead. In my diesel the initial sensitivity is not there so I am just in the habit of mashing the pedal. I feel like I'd chirp the rear tires in the Tahoe with that approach.

2019 5.3 throttle super sensitive initially then nothing without punching it

Thanks for the responses. Asking my dealer about a TSB is a good suggestion. If there's no TSB, they generally say everything is "normal" no matter what it is. They seem to put a lot of effort into avoiding warranty work. I'm going to avoid changing anything myself or adding a tune until the...

2019 5.3 throttle super sensitive initially then nothing without punching it

Just 11K on the clock. According to the service records, the only things ever done to it were two oil changes, a tire rotation, and a front alignment.

2019 5.3 throttle super sensitive initially then nothing without punching it

Hi folks, After a couple thousand miles on my new-to-me Tahoe, I can't seem to get used to the throttle. I know every car/truck can be a little different, and I've driven hundreds, if not thousands, of different cars over time. I usually get accustomed to throttle sensitivity within just a few...

Interesting low mileage 2001 Tahoe Z71 (I have no affiliation to seller or vehicle)

Just came across this listing and thought it might be an opportunity for someone. I am in no way affiliated with the seller nor the vehicle itself. 2001 w/only 31K miles https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/836037665/overview/

I think I bought the wrong color hood lol.

HAHAHAHA I kinda don't mind those two colors together in a more planned-out two-tone design. Maybe some racing stripes in the lighter color applied to the hood could tie it all together. Made me think of this...

Just bought 2019 Z71... stance & tire size seems odd

Agreed... makes sense. It seems all things are leading me to 275/65/18 Duratracs. I know load index and load range aren't the EXACT same measure. But it seems this is the loose correlation indicated on tiresize.com's inflation calculator: C = 110-113 D = 114-117 E = 120-123 The OEMs are load...

Just bought 2019 Z71... stance & tire size seems odd

For sure everyone certainly has preferences--I hear that. I had the Michelin LTX AT2s in load range E on my 2015 Silverado Z71. My 2019 Silverado non-Z71 (Z85?) has Goodyear Wrangler highway-flavor-something-or-other in load range E. I def liked the LTX AT2 much better than these Wrangler...

Just bought 2019 Z71... stance & tire size seems odd

Yes, I believe that's the rational for installing 18s on the Z71. I do intend to take it off road in the most basic definition--not trying to get into Wrangler Rubicon on 35s kind of capability, but maybe Subaru (with the right tires) territory. Sidewalls aren't my greatest concern, but I still...

Just bought 2019 Z71... stance & tire size seems odd

Just bought a 2019 LT Z71. Previously owned a 2004 Suburban LS 2WD. I was thinking a leveling of the front and a slightly taller tire. Not trying to get into the pizza cutter zone necessarily, but the 265/65 tires look oddly low profile on the 18” wheel. What was GM thinking with a Z71?! I...
