Just the throttle sensor. I’ve cleaned it before but the door always opened when I pressed the gas pedal. This time it wouldn’t open. I may have damaged that part that opens it now? I may just order a whole new throttle body assembly complete but they are expensive
I changed my throttle body sensor today and then turned the key on and pushed the gas pedal to wipe down the inside of the throttle body but the door wouldn’t open. I gently pushed it open but was pretty hard to open but it finally kind of popped open. I didn’t spray anything inside just wiped...
I thought it was weird too, when I bought the truck I figured it was the tires so I’m sure it’s been like that for a long time. The feel at 70 ish was also very slight, my wife thought I was crazy to even address it but I’m a little OCD with all my cars. I actually did check a local junkyard and...
They redid the weights today on it and it feels like new again. Weird that it was even off but they lightened them and it feels good. The whole cost was only 160 with the new U Joints including balancing it.
Thanks, I had it with the old tires and now with the new ones so I had the driveshaft balanced and it came back out of spec. The tech showed me, I kinda just hung out in the back with him and showed me how they balance them. Basically kinda like a tire balance machine. It took a fairly heavy...
I have brand new tires and they are road forced balanced. The driveshaft is slightly off. It was checked at the shop, I’m going back tomorrow morning to adjust the weights on it. I’ll see what happens. I was looking for someone that maybe experienced a similar issue.
Hello, I suspected my driveshaft was a little off balance and still had the original U joints so I had a local drive line shop change them out and check the balance. It is off a good amount so he added some weights and told me to test drive and let him know how it feels, it’s actually a little...
Not exactly sure but they require a letter from work stating it’s used for work purposes. I guess driving it to work meets that? We are first responders but the Tahoe is his privately.
We did good in Martin County Fl. Crazy because the storm came pretty close but just some blown over trees and screen damage to the pool enclosure. We are very lucky, praying for the west coast and all the poor people that flooded.
I always do my own maintenance. Fluids are just too easy to let some brand new tech destroy my investments. I do have a lift in the garage that makes it a breeze.
Thanks, I know the obvious factor is the wife but my obvious factor is the cost. I was wondering by others experience with them if it’s worth the savings. I know I can get a 4wd PPV brand new around 44k before taxes and tags.
my wife’s lease is up in a few months and im able to buy a new PPV or SSV Tahoe. Brand new from a dealer because of my work. Im waiting for the 2023’s to come in, they are saying maybe November. Would you buy one of them for the wife or go with a higher trim level one? My friend just got one for...
I would like to thank you, after seeing your response I changed my front ones out that almost didn’t exist anymore and the very little bit of chatter I had is gone completely. I thought those things were to stop it from bottoming out only. I didn’t realize they should sit on the suspension...
Well I decided to go with the Nitto’s. Couldn’t pass up the good deal and I did have them on my Denali and had pretty good luck with them.
Tire kingdom had buy 3 get 1 free and I sold the all terrain ones I had on there for 1/3 of the cost. Nice quiet ride now. I really wanted the Michelin‘s but...
My rims are from a 2019 yukon and I have 265/65/18 tires but they are more of an off road tire. They are pretty new but they have a off road hum and I’d like to swap them with a highway tire. Was looking at some Nittos. Any recommendations that won’t bust the bank?
Thanks
Well the paint came in this morning and I went for it. Sanded and painted under the edge on the inside and a little thumb size mark on the outside edge. Figured however bad it could be I can always get it hatch professionally painted. I think I can live with it.
