Check the front fuse panel (under the hood) there is a rear hvac fuse that should be the one that would go out if it's a fuse. Not sure why we are blaming actuators or vacuum problems yet when he has not checked the fuse or the controls.

I know it's not a Chevy/GMC but my sons car did the same thing, ford Taurus, it ended up being battery cables. The positive side was corroded at the crimp. Causing the alt to work harder. Then all the sudden dead. Wiggled connections and it would start up and be fine for a short time.
The switch idea in theory seems to be a "easy" way of doing it. But I will tell you from experience, built a few hot rods and blowing one up because of a switch wired fan, it is not a good idea. One of 2 ways. Get a thermostatic switch or do the PCM. It is simply to easy for you to forget to...
You guys are funny. I pulled a 3000 lbs tent trailer this weekend and it makes a difference if the AC is on or not. A 20hp reduction in power with the AC on you can feel. I went up some pretty steep inclines and it struggled a bit, I just used the tow/haul button and all was fine. Granted most...

Had a 1972 Datsun pick up that I started just shaving a few things. Turned into a hot rod with a 327 67' Vette engine 350 turbo trans. Couple videos below of that just recently sold it.
Nothing I own is "stock" by any means RC Boats quad...

Hello all just wanted to say hello. Just purchased a 2002 Yukon XL SLT 4x4 with a 5.3l 121,000 miles all documentation since new came with it. Always wanted one and on many occasions needed one. Plan on using in quite often pulling my tent trailer around and our bi-weekly fishing trips. So far...
