    02Yukon to Denali

Finished everything up yesterday. I still have to scrub some overspray from the bumpers, but overall I'm very happy with the end results. Here are some pics

    Lower ball joints shot

I had my lower ball joints replaced when I put on lowering spindles. I brought in the spindles, but the shop supplied the ball joints. Labor for the change and alignment was less than $900 for all of it...closer to $800 iirc.

Finished both appliques yesterday but, with a severe weather warning, the truck is stuck in the garage.

    02Yukon to Denali

Finally got some down time on the weekend to do a little work. Plasti-dipping with glossifier on the chrome of the rear bumper to give it a Z71 look. And secondly, color matching the rear vent appliques. I'm not done yet, but here are a few pics to get it started. Bumper cleaned with...

That's a great deal. Be sure to post up a build log if you do the work yourself. I had a shop do mine since school had just started back and I'm interested to see how much work went into it.

Thanks! The front end conversion is a bit costly, but well worth the look IMO. I'll eventually get around to the rear bumper too, but once I get the side molding on I think I'll just paint the chrome to match.

2001 Chevy Tahoe --> Time to ditch??

I guess it depends on what you're looking to replace it with. If you want another similar SUV, you can pick up an 07 or 08 for around 20K, give or take a bit. The new ones are ridiculously expensive. Props to you guys who can afford that. Sounds like you could get by with under 2k on repairs...

So I hit a deer and im replacing my bumper and grill assy

Here is a truck that has the shell painted, but the grille is black. Still should give you a better idea of what it'd look like. For the record, I think it'll look great and I will probably do the same to mine. I love this guy's truck white...

    Rear Vent Caps

Look good  I think I'm going to color match mine and the rear bumper this weekend.

Concerned...High oil pressure after new oil pressure sending unit

My oil pressure is almost always at 60 or above, and I'm at 216k miles currently. Also take that reading with a grain of salt as we all know that it won't be the exact pressure reading...it's a guesstimate. **better than the alternative of being too low

She's changed a lot since I got her!

Great implementation of the vision. I think the "urban assault" look has been achieved.

    Blurred's 04 Tahoe Z71 build - Mr. Greenly Greenerson

A big thumbs up. Headlights and front end look great with that color. The wheels are badass too.

    Mileage Thread (00-06)

On a weekend trip from Raleigh to Gatlinburg and back, I passed 216k miles. No problems running at very fast highway speeds (pleads the 5th)

Put my husband's wheels on the Tahoe

I have 2" drop spindles and 2" drop springs with belltech shocks if you want to see the height. I definitely wouldn't want it any lower unless I had 24s or larger.

I like the look...because it's exactly what I did haha.

    Thinking about a Denali bumper

From personal experience, just let me tell you that it'll cost more than just the bumper cover and new grille. You need new running lights, fog lights, bumper insert, lower grille insert, and different brackets. You can mod the current bumper and put the Denali one over it, but if you want the...

Donovandavis's 2003 Yukon Denali build thread

Congratz dude. I've already spend way more than $6500 on just repairs for mine and it doesn't look half as good as yours haha.

Norcal can tell you more about "why" the measurements are what they are. I can only show and display the results. My tires are 285/50/20 for reference.

    02Yukon to Denali

Right rear was 34" exactly and left rear measured 33 and 3/4 with the 1" spacer. Both fronts measured in at 33 3/8 with the 2" spindles. I don't have a measurement right now with the 2" spacer, but I can check on that in the morning.

    02Yukon to Denali

Quite a bit of updates, but not many pictures over the past few weeks. Finally got the spindles and rear springs installed. As you will see in the pictures, the 2/3 drop seemed too low in the rear for me (especially with the A/T tires). I ended up ordering a 2" spacer to replace the 1" one...
