There is, but it's not worth it.

    Changing battery

Write down radio settings, they'll get reset. Also, connect the positive first, then negative. You can't accidentally short to the body or wire if the ground isn't connected. Usually batteries shipped to colder regions are "northern" batteries, same model, but have a higher rating in...

6.5" components are back in stock

After being out of stock for 2 months, they're back! http://www.emfcaraudio.com/sundown-audio-sa-6-5cs-component-speakers/

    Line in issue

There are 3 wires, left positive, right positive, and common negative. You have a ground loop so there appears to be an issue with how the negative is managed.

The problem may be the iPhone. I've heard of similar problems using the headphone jack.

    March give-away

That's also a conservative rating. The version 3 model this is replacing is rated 1500 RMS and a few guys running those for Bass Boxing and Bass Race have clamped 4500 watts per sub, without blowing them. Our own line of subs we're developing is conservatively rated at 6500 RMS.

    2001 Yukon 2 DC XLm2 18" 5k watts tuned low:)

I misread what you said, I thought it said you've lost other subs, not others have lost subs.

    What subs for underseat enclosure?

With that depth you're kind of stuck with bad or worse. I wouldn't compare the SD2 to either of them, but between those two the JL is the next best thing (for double the money), the Pioneer I'd stay far far away from.

    What subs for underseat enclosure?

Maybe I'm missing something, but the link you provided says "Mounting depth = 5.5 inches"

    What about this sub

Well, me just saying "the SA is better" isn't enough when I sell it. As I said before, the Pioneer covers up the motor with plastic stuff, that tells me the motor doesn't impress them either. It's also about an inch deeper if that matters to you. The SA has 50% more excursion and better...

    2001 Yukon 2 DC XLm2 18" 5k watts tuned low:)

Maybe the problem is the subs if you're blowing them on not much power and killing them more than once.

    What subs for underseat enclosure?

SA8's are too deep to fit and shouldn't be used sealed. SD2 10 is exactly what would be best there. http://www.emfcaraudio.com/sundown-audio-sd2-10-dual-4/ I'd buy from there, cause they're a new vendor here :peace:

Factory door speakers blown now what?

Yup, for what you'd have in 1 factory speaker that won't sound great and will end up doing the same as what you had, you can buy aftermarket replacements that will sound much better and last longer.

    What about this sub

What Sundown sub are you trying to compare to? I personally can't trust any sub that puts a giant plastic boot over the motor to make it look bigger. If it's that great, why are they hiding it?

    Whine after factory nav install

You've got a ground loop, and the antenna is grounded to the body while the harness is somewhere else. This leads me to believe you may have a loose ground between the battery or motor and the body. Check the factory ground points. Was this external antenna touching the body or grounded in...

New set up for the Esky, 2 Sundown SA-15's

SQ judging is done at less than 130 dB, there isn't enough power being produced to do much for the average listener. Can you name a car audio company that makes things available here that AREN'T an American company? Unless it was made in another country and purchased from another country using...

New set up for the Esky, 2 Sundown SA-15's

CEA rating is a crock of BS. Why you ask? The standard is very vague, it only requires it be at 14.4v (which you likely don't have) on a resistor (which you don't listen to) and can be at any frequency, not full bandwidth. Additionally, there is no measure of acceptable distortion, so they...

If you have power and you know the equipment works, then it's gotta be signal.

    Please help! Electrical Short?

My dad had a similar problem in his Canyon, ended up being a mouse that had made a nest inside the air box. Took the nest out, problem solved, it was blocking air flow. Other thought, have you checked the battery terminals for corrosion? Physically remove them to check, it may not be...

New set up for the Esky, 2 Sundown SA-15's

Those Brutus amps are dirty and only do about 70% of rated power, on any electrical. So you're 1200 estimate is about right.

    Sound dampening

It will vary by vehicle and frequency. Your friends score dropped, but did he test other frequencies? He changed the resonance of the vehicle, frequency probably changed. CRX's drop 6 hz from not deadened at all to 2 layers on everything. In my Sierra I had to deaden the roof just so it...
