    2008 Tahoe..Parking lights issue..BCM issue?

This would be hard to diagnose without Tech2. There are very cheap way to get your hands on one.

Broken Folding Mirror (non a typical issue).

Yeap, then it has to be it. I am an idiot for following the guide. I did not use their parts as exact same gear costs $8 and thier internally grounded motor, which appears $3 FC-280, I did not need as I took original motor and simply modified it to remove ground/negative from its casing...

Broken Folding Mirror (non a typical issue).

Thanks. I just can't fins any other reason why it is so stiff. Since the collet now sits lower, it appears that the large gear is grinding against the mirror base protrusions. Damn it!

Thanks for the feedback regarding the mirror. Did you shave the collet with Gruven parts or left it alone?

Broken Folding Mirror (non a typical issue).

Hi, Working on fixing a few things on my 2010 Tahoe, to include passenger side mirror. The tilt and folding stopped working. I took everything apart. Fixed the tilt issue by replacing a motor inside mirror adjustment panel. Took the folding motor apart and as with many had a broken spur gear. I...

    Squeaky AC Compressor Noise

Thanks for all the help, gents. The AC is on my low priority list right now as it is still cold outside and it still works. The vehicle is taken apart currently in and out as I am working on many small(er) issues now with main one being transfer case swap due to stretched chain. Just ran...

    Squeaky AC Compressor Noise

So the noise is gone after replacing the belt? Good to know as I will try it first before doing the AC compressor. Waiting for weather to warm up.

Hardwiring issues - ignition switched 12v

Old thread, but the issue is still relevant. I didn't want to run a wire to under the hood and no hot wire ONLY with ignition on is available in the driver side fuse panel on my 2010 Tahoe. I ended up wiring my dashcam to an open pin next to the brake pedal.

    Squeaky AC Compressor Noise

The vehicle is old, salvage rebuilt by me 6 years ago, drives fine, but starting to have miscellaneous issues that requires work. Since I do all the work myself, it doesn't cost too much to maintain it. When I bought it I knew I will run it untill it's dead. I totally agree that buying used is a...

Can someone help with trailer braking?

Well boys, I took to a local park today to practice backing up and I have to tell you that you were right. I did not even feel the trailer behind me as I was driving. What a difference. I did get the Tahoe configured with P3 brake controller, air shocks, e-rated tires, and the equalizer hitch...

Can someone help with trailer braking?

Well the Silverado was a lemon. 101000miles but 5001 engine hours, underbody work, diff swapped from 2500, and other minor things. It all reminded me how much I always hated dealers–they'll sell you a dream! Next stop 2015 GMC 2500 with 186k miles for 20k, but diesel! Sent from my SM-G981U1...

Can someone help with trailer braking?

Likely going to pick up 2018 3500HD today. Some minor damage as it is a work truck. 101k miles, $19,5k, 6L Gas. New bumper included in sale, tailgate will be attempted to be fixed (don't want to spent another 500-80p junk part). Hopefully I am not making a stupid decision and will be able to...

Can someone help with trailer braking?

What is everyone's take on hitch receiver adapters? Found equalizer anti sway hitch with load balancing local in my area. The shank is 2", which is what my Tahoe has. I'm now shopping for 2500Hd Silverado, which has 2 1/2 receiver. Are 2" to 2 1/2" adapters safe so I can use the equalizer in...
