Last I asked them, SEM doesn't xref GM colors or numbers. Good luck with a match.

Trouble with color matching interior

I have a 2005 Suburban LT with interior color codes 921 and 922 I purchased a 2003 Yukon Denali with interior color codes 921 and 922 I want to use the wood grain console and dash bezel... but some of the non-wood grain areas are showing their age. I used Medium Dark Pewter SEM 17163... but the...

I didn't know (dashboard cracking) was an NBS issue.
Did heat or cold do that?

The slots where the vents are cracks easy, the guys that did my windshield tint put weight up there,
probably leaning on it made it crack, and I made it worse when I was doing the heater core work.
All the dashes at the junkyard ive seen are always cracked up front, and the only other fix is a cover.

Ok. I've never seen or even heard of an nbs dash cracking before.
Whenever I saw one in the jy they were always good.
Only issue I've ever known about is the paint likes to peel and chip easily.
Mine is all nicked up from the tuner and his damn laptop.

It's been awhile since I've been to a jy, but I'm sure there's plenty. Where in NY are you? Staten Island?
I know of a guy who parts them out. Bought a motor and a rearend from him.

I don’t think there’s an exact SEM match for that color. I’ve seen guys go through this. You can get one that’s close and then paint the entire dash and all the associated /adjoining parts or have some SEM paint color matched- although I’ve never found anyone near me that does that. I actually painted almost my entire interior over time.

Breukelen & Queens, neither of which have impressive junkyards unless you own a cute-ute or a limp-noodled ecosedan.
Once had to drive into NJ for a Caprice's fuel tank.
