Yeah, like I said, I should have researched more. Couldn't have changed it, but at least I would have known. It's all about diesel. Torque for the empty truck is high and broad. I don't need more revs and more fuel consumption to maintain speed, but it shifts anyhow, no matter how gentle I am...- dbphillips

Add Failed Rocker Arm to the list...2022 Tahoe 6.2L under 6k miles!
It seems poor treatment will be the norm. Our Mercedes GLS450 was wonderful, until it caught on fire, burned our garage down, and made the rest of the contents of the house a total loss because of smoke damage and asbestos, courtesy the great State of Washington and their oh so progressive...- dbphillips

I want to choose the gear, the way every other manual gear select I've driven works. It's a diesel. It doesn't need to shift so much.- dbphillips

So, this is supposed to be manual mode, right? Set the gear you want and just use the massive torque to trundle down the highway? My Tahoe downshifts if I push the gas much at all to speed up and it's annoying.- dbphillips

Cargo cover?
XL loses 200# tow capacity, but more importantly is too long for my garage. Seems pretty easy to adjust the design, I bet someone forgot and it got too late to change. Classic GM. Can't be perfect...- dbphillips

Cargo cover?
So, either my search skills vaporized, I'm using it wrong, or I'm super picky. But the cargo cover is terrible. You can't use it behind the third row and if you leave it installed, you can't raise or lower the third row seats... This is not rocket science... is it?- dbphillips
