Yes the button to move it on the controls near the sun roof and the only thing worthwhile is a drawer that appears when you slide it open. It fits a pistol perfectly like the GM engineers planned it this way

Like the blaster, AIWB a 4” Shield+ in my ‘25 Z71 but a transferable MP5 w/ SEF is also too big for the lower drawer or so I hear.

The gear shifter looks like what MB uses on most of their vehicles, it's really easy to use.

Just curious in your new 2025 High Country infotainment, does it now allow independent watching in the front seats as well as the rear screens? We used to use the front screen in our old 2019 Tahoe while parked, but then they removed the front screen mirroring/video option in the 2021-2024's.

Also I saw in a few 2025 Tahoe/Surburban review videos you can now download the Prime Video, Tubi, Peacock to stream on the FRONT screen now. How well does this work and does it fill the entire new wide screen? Can you download any Google Playstore streaming video app on the front screen now, like ESPN, Youtube or Disney Plus? Re-introducing Entertainment video streaming on the Front screen would be great, instead of the old mirror option from 2019.

Hoping GM opens up the new wide screen functionally while in park to watch/stream videos like Youtube on the new wide screen! Of course only in park, but would be great waiting for family/sports games etc...

Nice! I’m using it for the same application!
The drawer can fit a full sized Beretta 92fs but I like the simplicity of revolver and the S&W Chief Special.38 is nice and compact and allows me to get a few more valuables in there.

The power center console has a lot of cool options and is definitely worth the upgrade for it.

So I realized that my dealer Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine Texas installed a tracking device on my Tahoe before I bought it. When I was changing the oil I noticed it hooked up to the battery, I removed it obviously but they are a huge dealer but if you buy anything from them you might look for it. I'll post a picture soon

Need to add a hidden console power shut off switch so those in the know cannot check the lower drawer! It's in my master plan.

Why would they do that
I don't know whether OP financed through the dealer or not. However, I met a used car dealer years ago who told me he placed trackers on the cars he financed so that they could be found if repossession was necessary.
