Blower Control Module Replacement. Where to find?

Yeah the control module is still good. I purchased the new OEM blower motor on ebay... just typed in the part number that was on the old blower motor and it came up. Was about $60 shipped and will be installing it later today. All the aftermarket motors I've seen look cheaply made so really...

Blower Control Module Replacement. Where to find?

Bit of an update for those that have this issue and are searching for a solution. I installed the new blower control module (really easy to replace BTW... just remove two screws and the panel under the glove box drops down) and everything worked great for about 2 years until about a week ago...

Pitman idler arm replacement on 2004 Yukon. How to?

Bumping this because I purchased the Cognito pitman and idler support kit for $260 shipped on ebay which is the cheapest I could find....just finished installing earlier today. Instructions that came with the kit are pretty bad IMO. When I first read through them I thought it would be an easy...

Pitman idler arm replacement on 2004 Yukon. How to?

Everything is stock..... We had the steering box replaced by the factory (warranty) @ around 50k. It looks like most of the play is coming from this center link which is where it originally came from.

Pitman idler arm replacement on 2004 Yukon. How to?

I replaced the pitman and idler arms just a year ago and yes the center link sways and moves around a decent amount. I'm trying to avoid doing this pitman/idler arm job every year which is why I'm asking about the cognito supports.

Pitman idler arm replacement on 2004 Yukon. How to?

Bump..... my truck still feels like crap and eats tires bad. I have to get an alignment every 6 months. It is outrageously expensive just to drive this damn thing (not even including gas) I think the pitman and idler arms are worn out again since there is some play there. Can't find much...

Blower Control Module Replacement. Where to find?

Removed the glove box and have been trying to find this thing with no success... Any pictures of where it is since a description isn't helping? What EXACTLY do I need to remove to get to this thing?

Blower Control Module Replacement. Where to find?

A few days ago the blower stopped working on my 2004 Yukon. Later that day while the truck was parked I went to get something out of it and the blower was at full blast randomly. I pulled the fuse and that got it to stop. I did some reading and it looks like I need to replace the blower...

Power steering fluid change??? 04 5.3L

Seriously? This is the best way to change the power steering fluid? Do these trucks use power steering fluid or another fluid such as ATF like I've seen in other cars...? Any recommendations on what to use? Sorry for all the questions.... just don't want to mess my truck up.

How to change coolant and trans fluid on 04 yukon Vortec?

Bump... still unable to flush this damn coolant.... didn't think it would be this tough... can't get anything put together well enough to hold pressure. Not sure where that guy got his parts at but I can't find anything like it at any home depot, lowes or autoparts shop. Also tried to get into...

Power steering fluid change??? 04 5.3L

Got 86k on mine and it seems to be making groaning noises at low speeds around corners. I checked the fluid in the reservoir and it looks pretty brown. Anyone ever change their fluid? I'd like to do this but can't seem to find any info or tips on how to do it and what to use. I noticed...

How to change coolant and trans fluid on 04 yukon Vortec?

Any word on the tranny filter? Might try out the Dexron 6 WalMart brand depending on how much cheaper it is. I thought I had the pieces necessary to make one of those coolant flush things but couldn't get it to work... Went to Home Depot and picked some new pieces up.... hopefully I can get...

How to change coolant and trans fluid on 04 yukon Vortec?

What is a vetter servo and OD servo? Cheap and easy to install? Looks like I'll be picking up Dexron 6 fluid and trans filter/gasket in the next few days. Comes out to ~$110 at Autozone. Autozone only sells 1 type of auto trans filter for these trucks... Is there any benefit to going with...

How to change coolant and trans fluid on 04 yukon Vortec?

Cool PVC device... I'll have to put one together and flush it that way. I found out you're supposed to check the trans fluid level with the engine running so that is why it looked so high on the dipstick. I called Autozone again and the guy suggested changing the filter and using Dexron 3...

How to change coolant and trans fluid on 04 yukon Vortec?

I do not have money to take to a mechanic so please do not say just take to a mechanic. Searched and surprisingly could not find a write-up or other info on how to change the coolant on my 04 Yukon. I have 2 gallons of orange Dexcool coolant. Will this be enough along with 2 gallons of...

    Steering Issue - Double-Checking

The slop in the steering is probably from the poor steering design from the factory. The bar that the pitman/idler arms attatch to tends to twist when the steering wheel is turned resulting in "number" steering. I have seen this issue on all Yukons I've encountered. Cognito makes a...

What blue Tenneco shocks are these? What to get? Opinions??

That is what I was asking in my original post... From all the positive reviews I cannot believe anyone would suggest these Monroe twin tube Reflex shocks. I can tell they would not handle the front end of a yukon well at all and probably won't last long. That goes for all...

What blue Tenneco shocks are these? What to get? Opinions??

^What shocks are the blue ones? They came off the front of my 2wd 2004 yukon. The labels are scratched off both shocks so I can't tell... They say made in Canada and Tenneco on them. Are they stock? All I can see on the label is T3Y I was going to replace them (since 1 is leaking) with...

Pitman idler arm replacement on 2004 Yukon. How to?

Just finished searching for info on how to replace the pitman-idler arms on my 2wd 5.3L 2004 Yukon and surprisingly found nothing. There is a lot of slop in the steering so the truck wanders and sways and the insides of the tires are wearing very quickly.... I assume this is the...
