I know what you're talking about. My Monte Carlo has the plastic sheet in its doors. In these trucks it appears they replaced the plastic sheet with the foam piece. They both serve the same purpose though, the part is called a water deflector per GM... -

The door seal is new. The leak is coming from the door panel, and leaking down onto the seal from the inside. The window sweeps look fine as far as I can tell. -

Taping a bubble seems like it could work, now to figure out what material to use to be effective... Just blows my mind that GM thought the little square foam piece would be sufficient to keep water out I mean it does seem to be working on the rear doors, just not the fronts for some reason -

I've been dealing with water intrusion through the front doors since the day I brought home my 2013 PPV. First the drains were clogged with gunk. Cleaned those out, still leaked. Then it turned out to be the water deflectors. It was completely missing from the driver side, and on passenger side... -

UPDATE: After trying a second RP4-GM31 and it still not working, and reaching out to PAC support, I have arrived at the conclusion that the PAC RP4-GM31 radio interface module simply is not interpreting the CAN messages properly or the BCM is not sending those messages out when the vehicle is...- eventsb

Yes, it is. I also am confirming with a multimeter on the PAC interface that the purple/white wire does not ever change from 0V. The reverse lights are working BTW.- eventsb

Installed aftermarket radio w/ PAC RP4-GM31 interface, Reverse output not working
The PAC interface operates via the CAN bus, there is no "reverse light" wire in the back of the radio. It gets all its inputs from the CAN bus. When it receives the message that says the vehicle is in reverse, it toggles the puple/white wire from 0V to 12V. Considering the parking brake output...- eventsb
