So for some dumb reason I decided to lift one of the wiper blades up further and it felt like something snapped. Now there is no tension holding it down against the windshield. The spring looks to be in place, but I’m not sure where whatever snapped to not place enough tension to hold it down...
Well since I relaxed the entire fuel pump assembly that takes care of fuel filter if it was on it, but I believe mine is elsewhere.
I will try replacing that and fuel pressure regulator.
These were the fuel pressure readings before I replace the fuel pump.
46 psi when key was on but engine off.
42 psi with engine running
42 psi after engine was off
At the time I bought it off Amazon, but I stopped buying OEM parts from Amazon. I’m confident it’s not the fuel pump because this issue was occurring before I replaced it. The fuel pressure specs are as follows before I replaced the fuel pump.
46 psi when key was on but engine off.
42 psi with...
Still seeking answers on this with my 03 Tahoe with the 5.3 engine. I noticed at about 1/4 a tank if it’s sitting all day/nignt you go to start it and it takes a little longer for it to fire up. There’s been times the gas light was on and I was parked at an include downhill and it would not...
So this issue started after I reconnected my battery after it was disconnected for 3 weeks when I was replacing the rear main seal.
I ordered an OEM actuator and installed it and it didn’t work. I reconnected the Dorman one and it worked but still was doing same thing. I disconnected the...
Been having an issue on my 03 Tahoe LT with the rear temperature control. It was stuck on cold and would not go warm. I ended up replacing the rear blend door actuator with a cheap aftermarket one. It worked for a while and then it stopped. I then replaced it with a doorman one and now I am...
This is the one I bought but it’s nothing like the one that I took out. The one I took out looks like the one in the link I gave you which is plastic on both sides and thicker
Thanks, I appreciate the help
Had a quick question. I’ve been getting OEM/ACDelco parts on Amazon. I was told supposedly to stay away from Amazon with that because there are knock off companies that advertise them as OEM but they really are not.?
This is the one I bought but it’s nothing like the one that I took out. The one I took out looks like the one in the link I gave you which is plastic on both sides and thicker.
So another issue I’m facing is finding the correct transmission filter. From what I understand I have the deep pan but the filter I pulled out is plastic on bottom and the new one is different shape and metal on the bottom. The one I took out looks like this one. Assuming this is the one I need...
Currently replacing the rear main seal on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe 2wd with the 5.3. Decided while I am at it just going to change out the transmission fluid and filter.
I am a little conflicted on a couple things. I want to stick with OEM filter and fluid but I am seeing different types of OEM...
With the centering tool I am seeing a few and also seeing a couple different methods in installing the new rear main seal. I’ve seen some where they install the seal into the plate with it out of engine and ones where they put the plate back on and then use the centering tool and then torture...
For my 03 Tahoe 2wd with the 5.3 I’m a bit conflicted on what brand I should get for the rear main seal and retainer gasket. I tend to want to stick OEM especially in a job this big but others are telling me Felpro brand is just as good if not better. I’ve got a local parts place here selling...
