So far in the 2 1/2 weeks I've owned my 2015 Yukon XL Denali, I've replaced the corroded shark-fin antenna, installed LED bulbs in all front head & fog lamps and backup lamps, treated exterior with ceramic protectant, replaced cabin air filter, installed mats in 3rd seat floor and cargo area.
Thanks for your response. I replace the shark fin antenna and now the GPS is, at least, showing the correct location even if the map may be a few years out of date. I appreciate your warning. I've had a 2015 Ram with navigation but I always use my Garmin GPS because I like to archive the GPS...
Thanks for the response. I replaced the shark-fin antenna and now the SXM and the GPS are working. The maps may not be up to date but at least the Yukon is no longer marooned in Canada. :)

I had the same issue. The old antenna had a drain gap in the rear of the gasket so water was running underneath of the antenna with no place to go. The new antenna had the drain gap in the front and I was concerned that water would be blown into the gap so I used black silicone to seal the...
My SXM antenna had water retention & corrosion problems which was causing very weak SXM reception. I ordered a new antenna and used silicone sealant with the gasket already on the antenna to keep water from being admitted underneath of the antenna. I now have SXM reception!
