HI again..back on this AC case in test mode today. Jumped ALL spots 1 by 1 top, back, switches ( low & high , i believe ) Still no compressor movement.:emotions122: I did look in the underhood fuse panel...noticed that the small 10A fuse for A/c was blown...was praying that would be all it...- theghoul

Well, added the rest of 2nd can tonight & still NO COOL or COMPRESSOR spin! Not sure where to go now...I even did the paperclip short on the harness of low line...still no spin. any ideas what to try next?- theghoul

Back on this AC case... well, I checked using the old trigger/gauge from the 1st can of refrige i got. it was going into the red! but since the comp. isn't going now. As I was filing it last week, the gauge would go in the green when comp. was spinning, then red whet it stop. back & Forth...- theghoul

ok. I did have a shop do it last time...thats where I'm at now! i should have mentioned i did take it back to them a few months go for a major tune up & asked them about the leak/ dye. they saw nothing! so i figured it was a under dashboard leak & didnt want to tackle that myself or pay them the...- theghoul

Ok... I was just messing w/it a few mins ago & now the clutch wont engage at all. I put the (empty ) can of 134a w/hose & gauge back on to test pressure. If the gauge is correct, its in the red when clutch is off. It was going between red & green ( good ) as I was filling it a few days ago (...- theghoul

Thread hijack! Im having the same issue w/my 96 hoe ac. the clutch goes on / off every 5-10 seconds. I put in a LARGE can of 134a in ( 18oz. ) The short backstory is: Hoe was STOLEN last year, when got it back it was smashed big time in front end & had NO tires / wheels! Ok, heres some pics of 1 of my 02's...the easiest one to access. Its the pre cat on drivers side...plain as day. heres the connector from the harness : heres the connector from the sensor ( 1 wire ) heres how it sits in the engine. any ideas? clearly they are 1 wire & clearly...- theghoul

yea, Thats what I was told too...Just here in cal. Don't know if its a legit law or just an excuse not to give us info for free! All other Autozone except in Ca. are supposed to scan for free. In any case I still have some codes popping up & SES light on constantly. I kind of only 1/2...- theghoul

Thats what i was wondering...But the connections on mine (at the harnesses )look stock, or at least not Spliced or hacked...so I didnt know if some '96's came w/both 1 & 4 wires or if mine was some anomaly. And , of cousrse , in California you CANT get codes read @autozone etc. for free...- theghoul

Thanks Yes, the light WAS out for a few days...then back ( comes on when on freeways, going up an incline ) its been on constantly for a month or so. I did disconnect battery for 1/2 hour & the SES went off...for a few more days, but back now. As for the 1 wire 02's... Im wondering if they...- theghoul

Hello Newb here, but been lurking for ages. I have a 96 hoe 2dr. _ typical 5.7 - pretty much all stock. SES light's on ... Had cap, rotor, wires & plugs, Fuel & Air filters tune up a few months ago & while they where in there , they read codes & stated that all 4 02 sensors needed replaced! at...- theghoul
