I personally wouldn't buy a $68 leveling kit off ebay, but that's just me.
I'm running a CCM kit on mine with 285 BFG's and have had no issues at all. My tread is still strong. I need to put a new set of shocks on mine and am considering removing the CCM and putting the Bilstein 5100's that...
Yea, but this was moving the entire front bumper cover also because it was hitting it while turning. Wasn't just the wheel well that was an issue. As much as I offroad, was a concern that when that shock traveled it would have caused some damage.
Well, couldn't fit the Duratracs on mine with the CCM 2.5/1". Not sure why, but I would have had to do some major trimming to allow for wheel travel. It wasn't just rubbing behind the small black piece on the bottom of the bumper, it was rubbing a good 3" above that. Any travel up and down...
Emann, question. Do you think the Duratrac's will fit with a CCM leveling kit? I bought that to install and just noticed your's was the Truxxx. CCM is a 2.5/1" rear, not 1.5.
Might be a throttle body issue. I had the same thing happen on my '09. Does it go into limp mode? Reduced power, traction control off, etc?
It's a common problem on the Tahoes, defect in the part.
From what I have read online, the sway may be caused by the tires themselves. Lots of reviews with con's in regards to sidewall strength at highway speeds. That's the only thing holding me back between these and 285 BFG's. I need a tire that can get me up and down the oilfield, at the deer...
Gig 'Em emann! '98 here.
That's the exact set up I am about to install on mine (white '09). Glad to see someone else pulled the trigger on the Goodyear's, was wondering how the ride was and if any trimming was needed.
Zed/07Burb, how do you guys like those new Nitto TerraGrappler M/T's? Was looking at a set for my 09 Tahoe, are they decent on road? They look plenty aggressive enough for off road.
Sorry to bump an old thread, just curious.
