2012 Tahoe PPV new owner here!

Super easy. If you have the cruise controls on your PPV steering wheel, then you have the audio control connectors behind the airbag. Order a new steering wheel with both cruise and audio controls (left and right controls) attached. I think mine was $200-$220 from dealer in Phoenix (they sell...

    Stock radio swap

And trust me, when it comes to PPVs I doubt anyone has spent more money and time on making their PPVs better.

    Stock radio swap

there is a reason why new head units have the features it does, especially for a PPV. Adding a backup camera, adding Bluetooth, and navigation. My parents are in their late 70’s and have added those features to their rides to protect them and others. Trust me, it’s stupid to buy a factory radio...

Well some people like to try ice skating uphill. Good luck!

    Stock radio swap

DON'T BUY A USED OEM RADIO!!! One, it's stupid, with old technology, and two, the VIN lock is a pain to deal with unless you have a Tech2 or want to pay the dealership $300. I know this from a personal situation. Just buy a nice Double-Din unit (Kenwood is my favorite), dash kit (I like Metra)...

    Rear park assist

Yes, check to make sure all sensors are plugged in correctly and use a scanner to see if there are codes for the sensors or module. If all is good, you can always spray WD-40 directly on the sensor and clean with rag. It's an old Merceds/BMW trick when sensors act up. Works every time.

2012 Yukon XL Denali - Recommendations for (close to plug and play) aftermarket stereo head unit?

YES!!! Panasonic was great in the early 2000's, especially when they were the first to use digital amplifiers in their units (no clue if it was legit). Here are some photos of the newest Sony: If you're wondering why my camera is so blurry, it's not. That's the crap screen of this new Sony...

2012 Yukon XL Denali - Recommendations for (close to plug and play) aftermarket stereo head unit?

You will need an iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 along with GM 5+ adapter. It's the only way to go. I also prefer Kenwood with the Maestro. Will even retain the factory flip down monitors. My new to me Escalade has a new Sony (barf) head unit, but previous owner didn't use a Maestro RR, so I will...

2012 Yukon XL Denali - Recommendations for (close to plug and play) aftermarket stereo head unit?

Just installed a Dynavin 10" in my Mercedes. They are 100% worth the crazy cost. CarPlay/Andriod Auto, XM Radio, plug and play and done in 2 hours or less

Sub boxes for under the second row bench

The 2000-2006 Tahoe/Yukon had tons or room under the 2nd row seats, and many options. Switching to the 2007-2014 body style, under the bench seat has a little less height (and different mounting brackets/design). So I don't believe your old box would work. As someone who loves custom car audio...

    08 PPV 2WD CHASSIS VIBRATION

Your problem might be the AFM/DOD switching from V4 to V8 mode when slowing down. That was my issue. Disabled the AFM/DOD with a DiabloSport Tuner and fixed the issue

    2010 Tahoe PPV cylinder misfire

Buy a smoker and smoke through the intake and through the oil fill. Might have a vacuum leak. If you have a rough idle, but everything else is good, I would clean the MAF sensor and replace the purge valve. GM parts are cheap, but labor isn’t. Could also be a bad injector.

Front Struts - Monroe vs Belltech

Went with Belltech ProStreet and ditched the Monroe PPV shocks and struts. Way too firm. Also changed out the front and rear springs.

    2014 PPV/Hello Everybody :)

Don’t waste time and money trying to find K-9 parts. It’s a negative ROI. For center console, head to junk yard and pull all the parts. It’s super easy and saves a to of money vs EBay. I think I paid $100-$150 for my console. All parts you need to make it more civilized can be found at junk...

    Actually selling it.....Pulled

I might chop up a 2007-2014 Escalade ESV as my next project. Don’t know if I have the time with my other project cars, but would be sweet!

    Actually selling it.....Pulled

1st, welcome home and thank you for your service to our country. 2nd, didn’t say anything about drugs. But yeah, post your rig for $28k. I would love to look like an idiot for your gain or help my listings look like a bargain compared to yours. Please post your Tahoe for sale in Las Vegas. I...

    Actually selling it.....Pulled

I put hundreds of hours in recon in my trucks. I count the labor as free and only factor in the parts. I will end by saying this. If you can get more than $8k for your ride, put all that profit in the lottery, because your the luckiest person I know.

    Actually selling it.....Pulled

I love the enthusiasm and pride of your rig. As someone who buys many Tahoes/Yukons projects and dumps thousands in parts, upgrades, and repairs and sells them. I aim to make 0%-20% ROI after driving them for a few years. If I break even after a few years, I’m excited. So put yourself in the...

Are you serious on the asking price? Sorry I have a head cold today and can’t tell if this is sarcasm.

    Aftermarket radio

10” head units are basically single din or double din (so it will fit) but they stick out from the opening and have an enlarged screen that floats. You will still need an aftermarket dash kit as if you were installing a single or double din radio. Yes, buy the correct wiring harness. I...

    PPV front strut replacement part

Any shock/strut from a civilian tahoe/Yukon (non-auto ride) is the same as a PPV. The PPVs come with a Monroe PPV specialty shock/strut. They are extremely firm. The PPVs get their ride height from lowered springs. I would go with the Belltech ProStreet for front and rear. The fronts allow you...

    Carpet color

Pull carpet from a wrecked one and steam clean. I paid $75 and they even removed it for me, plus gave me the metal hooks for the 3rd row seats I went with black, which actually looks very dark gray

    2011 Tahoe PPV questions

DRL? - Yes, change out the headlights to an aftermarket one with LED light bar and you will magically have DRL. I switched to the “AmeriLite Super Bright LED Bar Projector” headlights found on Amazon. Note, you will have to buy new bulbs (LED) and they are different sizes. Anyway, they look...
