Ok....took all of 5 mins.....just had to push harder and it snapped right in. No need to modify anything and kept the old plastic on the fuel sender nipple. LOL- mwyoung75

Thanks for the help.....I think I am going to remove the clip on the sending unit and try to get it to fit. The clip doesn't look to be a part of the sending unit nipple. Hopefully it doesn't break. If I remove it and it doesn't fit.....I will just buy a new plastic connector, cut the...- mwyoung75

Sorry......this is basically what i have right now.... Look at the pic and you see the type of connections on the fuel lines. They are the plastic type. Ok.....was able to saw off the ruseted bolt. dropped the tank and removed the rotted fuel line. my next issue is the old fuel connection at the fuel pump is the plastic quick disconnect. my new line has the metalo coupling.
