Popping coming from from front wheel
Thanks for the advice, half shafts comin' out next week for rebuild. Ouch...sometimes it sucks to be in Canada...even www.rockauto.com has them for $58. At least it will be back on the road within 24 hrs. Tony.- TonySev

Popping coming from from front wheel
I've got a part shop that will send them off and get them back same day, $125/side. I'll try it in 4wd and see if gets louder. I'm kinda worried that it's in the diff rather than the CV's. Is there a way to check for that? T. ---------- Post added at 01:36 PM ---------- Previous post...- TonySev

Popping coming from from front wheel
99 Yukon, 5.7, 240,000 KMS, 4wd with "Auto" setting for xfer case. When driving and turning sharp corners I have sound coming from the LF wheel....sounds like someone crumpling up aluminum foil or a thin tin can...only happens when turning and moving. I through CV joints, so I jacked it up...- TonySev

oil cooler lines leaking, 99 Yukon, 150,000 miles
My Yukon is a 99. The lines have AL ends (and flex in the middle) and they are threaded into the rad and to the adapter thing on the block that that oil filter screws onto. T.- TonySev

Which monitor would you recommend? Anyone use the ODBII ones that plug into an Iphone? I remember seeing ads for the "Hypertech" programmer...I seem to remember it allows you to change the shift points, fuel mapping and stuff....would it monitor these systems or is it another toy in addition to...- TonySev

Wife bought a new trailer and we're heading 700 miles south in June. My 99 Yukon doesn't have a tow/haul mode and I've always found the tranny shifts waaaaaaay to early. Q's. I've noticed folks say to never flush an old tranny. NP. What kind of filter do you get to replace the old one with...- TonySev

oil cooler lines leaking, 99 Yukon, 150,000 miles
My lines have been wet for a few years and now they are starting to drip a bit. I got an oil cooler line removal kit from GM ($100 CDN, adaper and 454 filter) but the wife just bought a new trailer (4500lbs) and I'm thinking an oil cooler would be a good thing to have.
