Finally got around to blacking out the fog light surrounds used the same plasti dip as the Grill. I also put on the winter wheels so I can have the stock ones power coated black.
Installed the Putco Boss Denali grill today. I've had the truck about a week and a half. Love it so far. It is an iridium 2017.for now I did plasti dip on the chrome surround.
Pulled the trigger on a Iridium Denali Yukon XL yesterday of with the options I wanted they found one 200 miles away so it will be a few days we have kids plan to get another dog and don't like to fly so we went XL.
70MPH IS 2000 RPM which imo puts it more in the power band so I can drive it with my vacuum gauge and get the same or even a little better mileage.was definitely a good upgrade my trans is running more normal temps also.
I just installed 4.56 gears in my Tahoe yesterday I'm also running 33" tires. One day in truck gets off the line with so much less effort and trans seems to be running cooler also.I would agree that doing burnout switch all terrain tires on a 5500 lbs truck on dry pavement = bad news.i agree...
Installed myself and I ended up buying them separately once I put driver on the passenger looked so bad in comparison I had to change that one.So because I did them separately I got the all leather one for driver and leather and vinyl for passenger.Driver was roughly $229 and passenger was...
I Just in installed two bottom seat cover from the seat shop in TX.I would say they are better than OEM and my Tahoe has 198K so the GM ones lasted that long no complaints there.Anyway here are before and after pics
new wheels
needed tires two bologna skins in the back and slipped belt in the front and the rims clear coat was getting pretty bad looking on the orig stockers so got these guys on ebay with the tires and did both sway bar end links cause my wife broke one.bridgestones make it ride like new
hds
i went with the hds.i went from oem comfort bilstiens with 130,000 on them and dont think the hds are tooth rattling and do a lot of nyc driving and no real off roading though the truck does seem to handle better so i like em.and the ones i took out still had life left in them.
more pics
these are intake after and GMPP intakes damm good for out the box.truck seems to have more power even though it is choked down by all stock trim.
more pics of head swap
did some port matching on intake new heads were good enough for the time i had to put into it tahoe is my daily driver and i had to get to work so no time to do any real porting or polishing.these are old head and intake before
